From Pandemonium to Empyrean,
from there to Arad,
Bakal,the King of all Dragons,
continued his invasion of this world.
And he brought every living creature to submission in the end.
The first year of his rule began when his army conquered Arad.
Bakal Year 1.
Ironically, it marked the beginning of the most prosperous
and stable century in Arad's history.
The Metastasis stopped manifesting.
The Great Pentacle was stronger and more durable than ever,
thanks to the superior magic of the Dragons.
The monsters kept themselves inside caves, too afraid of the Dragons.
Finally, he had the whole world in his hands...
then a century passed, and his satisfaction as a victor slowly weathered away with it.
It was the night of the Festive Day of the Dragon's Crescent Moon,
the banquet that was held at the end of every year.
Bakal was on his way back to his bedchamber when he suddenly remembered
the warping of spacetime, which occurred when Pandemonium was first connected
to Drakvalt.
It dawned on him that maybe he could use that phenomenon to dominate
other dimensions while looking for clues leading to the World Tree that Hilder stole
from this world.
Once he made up his mind, there was no stopping him.
He was the ruler of this world, and no one could deny his wishes.
Bakal learned from the Dark Elves how to open an interdimensional gate.
He then used every resource he had to open a great interdimensional gate that
warped spacetime.
Waiting on the other side of it wasn't just another dimension—so was disaster.
The century-long peace had made Bakal complacent, soft.
The world may have prospered under his reign, but it didn't change the fact
that his empire was built on the pain and suffering of others.
Bakal was oblivious of the hatred that was bubbling up underneath the calm surface.
The Dark Elves held a grudge like no other, and they were good at hiding it too.
They gave Bakal the wrong coordinates, which invited alien forces with evil intent
to where Bakal's expeditionary army was.
The Dragons would've been wiped out that day if it weren't for their elite fighters,
the Dragon Knights. They drove away the alien invaders, but barely.
And then everything went downhill from there.
Bakal lost his power, the world spiraled into chaos, and civil wars ensued.
Even the Dragon Knights, who were strong enough to fend off the alien forces,
couldn't fight the changes that were happening all around them.
The Dragon Knights no longer fight for a single leader.
Now they have their own banner to protect, their own right to fight.
Are you disappointed because they've changed?
I understand.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion. But there's one thing that we all must not forget;
the Dragon Knights have been the greatest warriors since Bakal’s time
and that will never change, no matter how much time passes.
Plane: Dragonia
The Dragon Knight combines her ferocity in battle with the aid of dragonian support in hand. With powerful dragons by her side, the Dragon Knight will assail her foes with primal abandon.
- At level 50, the Dragon Knight awakens as a Braveheart then at level 75, the Braveheart awakens as a Dreadnought.
- Her subclass cosmetic effect has her shield taking a form of a dragon's head.
- Her 2nd Awakening cosmetic has Astra hovering alongside her.
- Her Neo Awakening cosmetic has her spin around for a pose with her wings spreading out before retracting back.

Awakening as a Braveheart
We risked our lives.
We fought because we believed the day of our revenge would come
just as they promised.
We soldiered on, even when our wings were so matted
with blood that we couldn't fly.
But the day of our revenge never came.
We cut down many enemies, burned down many more but that day never came.
They used us, and yet they feared us.
They feared that we might point our swords at them once we got our revenge.
So they sent us in harm's way, dished out impossible missions
and even sold us—their own comrades—to the Dark Elves like commodities.
We didn't understand it.
We fought honorably under Bakal's command.
Never in our lives did we imagine that our own master would betray us.
We know better now.
We're not going to fight for unworthy masters anymore.
We know what others call us. We don't deny what we've done.
We've left a trail of flames in our wake. Our gaze has covered the skies with smoke.
Our lips have turned the water from which we drank bloody.
And we're not going to stop.
Even if the rest of the world call us villains, malefactresses of the Dragons, we will not stop.
So if you value your life, heed my advice and leave while you can.
Leave before the fury of the erred Dragons burns down everything, with you in it.
The Dragon Knight must first reach level 50.
- Complete the quest Unending Foreboding from the North Myre Epic Quest line.
Becoming a Dreadnought
At first, I could only think of one thing...
To free my people from pain.
My anger was justified and my actions were cruel.
Drowning in the cheers of victory,
I promised that I would do everything to bring back the glory of the Dragon Clan.
That’s right.
I thought I was making the right decision then.
Flying through the glorious battlefield unleashing flames of death upon my enemies,
all of which I believed to be an honor and a blessing.
However, now I know.
Glory is but a fruit of vanity and the cries of the souls that were burnt by the flames of
suppression is a dirge. A funeral song that loathes the reign of the new tyrant.
As long as glory is achieved in the name of tyranny, the history of oppression will only
repeat itself and the world will fade into darkness. And just like Bakal, those who
would use their flames to consume the darkness will only bring forth unimaginable
chaos and agony.
It is now time to leave my past behind.
If repeating this painful history is what I have achieved from my times in the battlefield,
then I would rather lose everything and start all over again.
Even if everything that I’ve done for the glory of my clan cannot be forgiven,
I will do everything in my power to stop the oppression from rising.
I am fearless.
I am Dreadnought.
The Braveheart must first reach level 75.

- Clear EX: Gold Dragon Tournament.
- Collect 150 Seal of Emperor Helm.

Awakening as a Neo: Dragon Knight
It was obviously me that first realized that I was at my limit.
Such a linear style that some might even think to be foolish.
I spent so many days without sleep to think of ways to overcome it.
Enduring pain like a great hand was squeezing my entire body, I swung my blade without rest.
Only when I’ve reached a point where the overworked body spat blood,
Could I take a moment of peace in heart and look back.
Red blood covering the ground.
I finally realized as the battles I’ve had passed my thoughts.
The strange sensation that I could feel from beyond the dimensions.
Was it actually answering my will to be stronger?
The voices of my other selves across the dimensions whispered something into the blood of dragons flowing in my body.
The voices became a powerful pledge, imbued in the dragon’s blood flowing through the veins.
The pledge awoke instincts deeper and more primal than my authority as dragon queen
And I could feel it engulf my blade that was grasped by Astra’s breath.
It felt like I'd returned to the start of my long journey, but it wasn’t too bad.
I got on Astra’s back and patted his horns, who could not contain the overwhelming power and roared.
In the end there was only one conclusion that I could arrive at.
Give the enemies a merciless attack of even greater power.
With the claws that is me,
The enemies will once again carve the fear of the dragons in their blood.
The Dreadnought must first reach level 100.
- Complete the True Awakening 1 Quest line and obtain Ability Intensification.

Trivia
Subclass Inspiration
- The Dragon Knight's theme and motif shares parallels to Evan, a Dragon Master from MapleStory (another game made by Nexon) considering that they both use a dragon to fight that grows in size in later levels with their primary weapon, along with shields for a secondary one.
- Astra, the Dragon that's accompanied during skills is named after the Latin phrase Ad Astra meaning to the stars.
- She is one of three Knight subclasses to keep some traces of her pink hair intact through artwork and costume form.
Titles
- Her Global First Awakening Braveheart may likely reference the 1995 film's title.
- She also happens to share her Korean First Awakening Tyrant with the Male Striker, who in turn would recieve it for his Global Second Awakening title to differentiate the two.
- A Dreadnought is one that is among the largest or most powerful of its kind.
Skills
- Knuckle Blaster - Mazinger Z's Rocket Punch.
- Roaring Lightning - Elephant Slug. (Metal Slug 3)
- Ender's Light - is based on Mega Flare, one of Bahamut's signature recurring attacks in the Final Fantasy series.
