It's not known when they first appeared in Arad.
But it's a fact that their appearance had a great impact on the mercenary market on the continent.
They used strategies that other mercenaries had never heard of and exceeded their clients' expectations without fail. They raised standards for those who sought mercenary services. Thanks to them, it became necessary for aspiring mercenaries of Arad to become knowledgeable in the art of war as well as to be good at fighting. They ended the era in which mercenaries were priced by their strength.
Their ability to strategize wasn't the only thing that set them apart from other mercenaries. They also used bombs and buckshot made of complicated explosives, instantly setting the battlefield on fire with all their enemies in it. The way they fought was unheard of in Arad before and it was exciting.
"The troubleshooters capable of turning the tables on their enemies in any situations." People started calling them the Troubleshooters.
Looking for mercenaries to aid in a large-scale battle? Go to a tavern and ask for the Troubleshooters. For the right amount of money and alcohol, they'll make all your trouble go away.
The Troubleshooter enters and leaves the battlefield with a big bang. He not only fights with a Square Sword and a hardy Shotgun in hand but also carries a limitless arsenal of high powered explosives ready to cover the entire map in pure destructive chaos.
- At level 50, the Troubleshooter awakens as a Wildcard then at level 75, the Wildcard awakens as a Renegade.
- His subclass cosmetic effect replaces the Troubleshooter's previous firearm with a shotgun.
- His 2nd Awakening cosmetic effect is the Troubleshooter throwing his shotgun shells and reloading into his shotgun.

Awakening as a Wildcard
Long time, no see, my friend. Here, let me pour you a drink first.
Nothing tastes better than a drink after a fight, isn't it? You're not angry because I didn't come to see you for a long time, are you?
Today I fought really hard for the first time in a long time. Maybe that's why I remembered the time I spent with you. If today was one of those days, we would've been drinking in a nice place, wouldn't we?
I came to you today because I've got great news. Yes, the explosive chemical you researched and wanted badly. I was able to produce it finally.
I know it's hard to believe, but it's the truth. And that chemical was the reason I won today. I never used it in actual combat before, so making it work was kind of tricky at first.
I needed your help back then, and I need it now. I'm still nowhere near as good as you.
Ah, where did time go? I have to fight tomorrow again, so I'd better go hit the sack. I'm exhausted. People say old people don't sleep much, and I still sleep like a baby. That got to mean I'm still young, right? Hah hah! Don't be disappointed because I'm leaving early. I'll bring better liquor next time.
See you again, my friend.
The Troubleshooter must first reach level 50.

Awakening as a Renegade
In the midst of the fierce battle, I was standing with a gun in my hand. Every time I heard the sound of gunshots or bombs, my comrades fell.
It was a losing battle. Some of us even gave up fighting and ran, saying that they would rather surrender. But I couldn't do that. I had a family to protect. I fought because if I didn't, it would be the end of my family. Eventually our last line of defense collapsed and the enemy was upon us. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the death blow. Suddenly someone shouted from behind me.
"Get down!"
I instinctively threw myself to the ground. An ear-shattering booming noise was heard and then the smell of explosives and the screams of enemies filled the air. I lifted my head.
The enemies who were advancing toward me were rolling on the ground, screaming, their bodies enveloped in fire.
I turned my head toward where I heard the voice, and saw a man standing with an incredibly oversize shotgun and a sword that was just as big as its counterpart. His face was covered in tiny scars, probably from the myriad battles he'd survived, but it didn't look threatening. It didn't look good, however, with the ponytail he was sporting.
He came and patted me on the shoulder as he said,
"I think I'm going to charge you extra for this. I'm sorry I came late, though. Good job holding out so far. You can rest now. This battle will be over soon."
He then laughed heartily. Laughing in a situation like this, I couldn't believe him. He patted me on the back and said that I should leave now if wanted to run. I didn't. For some reason, I believed that he could put an end to the battle as he said, and I wanted to watch him fight.
Shortly after a while, he started fighting. Every time his gun was fired, enemies fell like autumn leaves.
Soon there were only a few enemies left on the battlefield, and having realized their situation, they started running.
But he didn't let them run. He produced some sort of switch from his jacket, and there were explosions all over the place, ripping the enemies apart.
I watched all that with my mouth agape. I'd never seen anything like it. Not only was he a good fighter, but he was also smart enough to predict the enemy's retreat route and trap it.
After the battle ended, he quietly packed his stuff and got ready to leave. I approached him and asked his name. He didn't answer. He said that we'd meet again if we were meant to meet again. He left the battlefield with a smile on his face.
After I came back from the battlefield, I followed his traces and went to every mercenary agency in the world. I couldn't find him. But I learned that he was the best mercenary there was and he only picked the hardest battles to fight.
Many years have passed, and I'm still a soldier fighting on the battlefield. I haven't lost my hope of meeting him again... not as enemies, of course. If I see him again, I'm going to thank him properly for saving my life in the past.
