Khazan was a legendary general of the Pelos Empire over 800 years ago. Due to a trap set by the emperor, he was tricked and murdered along with his friend Ozma. After becoming a ghost, he refused Ozma's plan to destroy the world, and instead wandered the land spreading his curse, the Kazan Syndrome.

As an Ally/Enemy
- He would first appear as a summonable skill for Male Slayer subclasses, but cannot be used by Ghostblade.
- During Season 6, he shows up in spirit form, taking over Ash Rosenberg's body via Kazan-possessed Rosenberg in Black Shrine.
- In Ozma of Chaos Raid, he is the Phase 1 final boss known as Destructive God Kazan located in Grauben the Sanctum of Terror.
- He can be summoned from one of the tombstones during Karon the Gatekeeper's boss fight in The Archmage's Hall of Dimensions Legion Dungeon.

Etymology
- Khazan's name can be derived from either the Japanese word for Volcano (火山), or the Russian variant (Казань) for Cauldron, as both seem to befit his character's overwhelming madness and anger he has often displayed.
- Around Global's Season 7 patch, his name has been altered with a letter H.
In-Game
- There is a Unique Zanbato themed after him.
- He is featured through the Level 100 Epic Mixed Equipment; Swallowed Anger Set, Madness Follower Set, and Vestiges of Excruciating Tragedy Set's flavor text on each set piece.
