Lore
ARAD TIMES Lore:
The researchers trembled in fear.
It was the first time that the kind, gentle Hilder became this angry.
They thought Hilder's kindness was their privilege as future talents to lead Pandemonium.
It was their excessive ego. They found their stupidity over grievances.
Most of Devil Girl's researchers left the laboratories with soul-crushing regret.
But there were few who did not give up. Among those was Sisley.
Once the obnoxious girl and the research materials disappeared, Hilder commanded that, upon the discovery of White Rust Sisley, she be brought back immediately.
But Sisley never showed herself before Hilder ever again.
Time passed, and once Hilder's attention moved to the beginning of Luke's movement, tales of the name Sisley began to spring up in the direction of the Kashipa.[1]
Operation: Hope Lore:
To many people's surprise, the leader of Kashipa's mid-ranking looting unit, Rust, is an ordinary-looking girl with a rabbit doll in her arms.
Once a member of the Devil Girls, the group of Pandemonium's most troubled teenagers, Sisley decided that she'd dedicate her life to homunculus research.
Even when she had to take refuge with Kashipa to avoid Hilder's wrath, she smiled at the prospect of being able to continue her research.
So much time has passed that even her most persistent pursuer wouldn't recognize her anymore, but her determination is as strong as ever.[2]
Pandemonium War Lore:
Having barely escaped, Sisley was angry. She'd lost the precious results of her research that took her a long time. She spent countless hours hiding in a corner to create what she thought were the ultimate results. But her happiness didn't last long. In the Bronx where she didn't want to go, she met him and he burned her work!
I can't stop now. I must not stop now. I broke the rules for the ultimate truth. For that, I even sacrificed everything—even myself! If I stop now, my life will have been wasted. This time, I must create something flawless. I'll break even the greatest taboo to discover greater truths.
I'll need so many things to do that. First... Yes, I need that thing that got away. Children, let's go. It's time to retrieve the "material."
Sisley's Children
Whee, whee, ho! Whee, ho! Whee, whee, ho! Don't worry about failing. Don't let the clattering stop. Shall we modify the prim cat? Let's hang the big snowman! Stick a knife into the blazing pumpkin, and sew up the shiny worm. Don't be afraid. We've done this before. Everyone, join, say goodbye to our foes! Whee, whee, ho! Whee, ho! Whee, whee, ho!

History
Long ago, Sisley was once a member of the Devil Girl group of the Elting Memorial which consists of Geniewiz who are also the biggest troublemakers in Pandemonium. She is very stubborn and determined of that group dedicating her work into creating Homunculi that was forbidden by Apostle Hilder. After the group was disbanded, Sisley later took refuge into Kashipa and going so far as to conceal her magic just to avoid Hilder's wrath.
During her time in the Kashipa, she continued with her research. She delved deeper into her craft and was even willing to perform experiments on herself. However, the experimentation led to disastrous consequences, resulting in her to lose her body in the process. Despite this setback, her consciousness remained in a non-corporeal form, and was able to attach itself to host bodies. From then on, Sisley's priorities changed: she must use her research to create a new "perfect" host body.
To achieve her goal, Sisley created a large number of Homunculi of similar appearance to her original body. However, none of them were able to fully harness her powers and slowly deteriorated. While she continued her research for years, it resulted in the creation of her masterpiece, Laura.
For reasons of her own, she granted Laura free will and treated her like a research assistant while teaching her about magic and the homunculi. However, after Laura discovered Sisley's true intention and ran away, Sisley became dead set upon retrieving her. But her search was cut short, having received an order from Royal Messenger Walkman.
During the events of Operation: Hope, The Rust Unit are dispatched in the Dying Forest section in Harlem's Outskirts to continue their research involving the Abyss. She fights the Adventurer and is defeated only to take control of the rabbit doll she carries, uttering out "Useless body" and continues to battle, but loses again and retreats to an unknown location.
Sisley makes her return in the Pandemonium War when the Adventurer & Ikki the Vikki team up to infiltrate The Academy while coming across Laura who's trying to escape from her furious creator in that rabbit doll and battles the Adventurer again because of their interference. Afterwards, Ikki drops down with her MK-II Machine fixed and attacks Sisley, making her retreat.
When revisiting the Academy, both Adventurer and Ikki encounter Sisley inside a laboratory by appearing in her true form, assuming Laura came back and still remains ambitious on obtaining her body as she fights one last time before finally meeting her end.
As an Enemy (Operation Hope)
Sisley will be encountered as the end boss in two phases if the Dying Forest route is taken: Her Human form will use different variants of Witch skills, while her Rabbit form is more aggressive with physical and close-range attacks.
Move Set (Human)
- Pluto Punch: Sisley summons a Pluto Punch from Fusion Craft underneath the player's position and hits them.
- Dark Cloud: Sisley summons a Acid Rain that tracks down the player and launches lightning bolts.
- Florae Shot: Sisley fires out three Enhanced Magic Missiles in a front line.
- Frosty Spin: Sisley summons a Frosty Spin from Fusion Craft that inflicts Frozen (Status).
Move Set (Rabbit)
- Dash Punch: Sisley will shrink to target the player, grows back and punches at them.
- Pounce: Sisley will jump in the air to land at the player's position to crush them.
- Rolling Attack: Sisley curls up into a ball to home in on the player twice.
- Bite: Sisley attempts to grab the player at close range and bites them a few times.
As an Enemy (Pandemonium War)
Sisley is the end boss of The Academy now in her true, yet rather nightmarish appearance while being assisted by modified versions of her familiars.
Move Set
Haha, did you come again?
Leap: Sisley can randomly leap across the map to either evade being hit or target in on players.
Shadow Tentacles: Sisley uses her hair-like appendages that protrude the floor and rises up to a narrow range and attacks a randomly targeted player, dealing moderate to heavy damage if by them more than once.
Lava Breath: Sisley spits out a lava pool similar to Witch's Lava Potion No. 9 that deals heavy damage if someone's standing on the pool. Note that she's able to push back anyone who's in range when preparing this attack.
Pluto Breath: Sisley fires out a large amount of Pluto in a straight line.
Sisley's Children: Sisley will summon numerous homunculi consisting of her familiars, Jack O' Lantern, Frosty, Florae and Pluto throughout the room that must be destroyed immediately before the timer gauge below fills or if there's any homunculi left behind, she'll absorb it and use an elemental attack as sort of a berserk pattern.
- Berserk
- Let's Play~: After 45 seconds into the fight, Sisley blends into the background and she splits the map into four purple lanes, and sends waves of teeth drill attacks into three of the four lanes a total of four times almost being identical to Hiero's Spiral Dive or Shackled Kepheros's Condeming Voices attack patterns. All party members must move and up down in the safe lane and dodge being hit by the drills. After the fourth lane, Sisley will enter her groggy state for 20 seconds.
Strategy
- Sisley herself isn't very difficult to fight, but considered annoying due to her AoE attack patterns and constant movement around the map.
- If you don't deal any damage to Sisley within' 20 seconds, she'll also trigger her berserk.
- During Let's Play~:
- If you or any party members are hit by the teeth drills underneath, a red orb will be produced and Sisley depending on how many are laying around, she'll regain 3% of her HP back with each orb absorbed after her groggy phase ends so it's wise to avoid being hit to prevent casualties.
- Sisley's Children can also appear and explodes on contact if you go near them.
- The Seraph's Edification is helpful for those who have slower movement speed.
- * One she is groggy, have Crusader/Enchantress to deploy their Apocalypse/ Crux of Victoria/ Marionette and kill Sisley before she repeats her patterns.
Appearances
- The Academy (Boss)
- Operation: Hope (Boss)

Trivia
- Her moniker, White Rust is a reference to a disease in plants caused by the oomycete Albugo candida or one of its close relatives as this could make sense regarding Sisley's character is that of a body snatcher.
- Her original form's hair color is revealed to be Teal through Laura and a Homunculi she used during Operation: Hope.
- Sisley's true form could be inspired by Pride from Full Metal Alchemist.
