Black Purgatory is the second dungeon area of Chest Town and the dungeon area that follows the events of Exile Mountains. Players must be Level 100 and complete the necessary Act Quest to access the area through Destroyed Chest Town.

After losing the Coffin of Extinction to the Black Order, Lemidia Basilica receives news of a prison breach within Lemidia Capella. Its prisoner, Despero the Pureblood, has gone missing. Concerned about the Black Order's next move, the Priest Order sends reinforcements to the garrison at Chantri. In the meantime, the Imposter forces overrun Chest Town, and take over Los Chest. With the Imperial forces of Chest Town on the run and the former lands of Dark Side in the hands of the Black Order, Ozma's resurrection is close at hand. The Priest Order and the Adventurers must rescue the refugees, recapture Los Chest, and stop the Black Order before it plunges the world into another Black Crusade.

Requirements

By gathering  Ore of Despair through either the Weekly or Normal versions, players can speak to NPC Judy Ringwood and select the Equipment Option Change which goes to a menu where she can change the types and values for the corresponding Level 100 Equipment:

• Weapons
• Pants
• Rings
• Sub Equipment

Each Option change costs 165  Ore of Despair & 20,000  Gold per roll. Finalzing the change adds a special effect to the item icon and equipped image.

Weekly Clear Rewards

Black Purgatory Normal

Releaased alongside the Weekly version, Normal Black Purgatory functions similarly to the current daily dungeons located in Los Chest, but are increased in difficulty. Players can choose any of the 4 dungeons as they wish to explore it's layouts, including the mechanics of each boss that's located there.

Basic Rewards

You can get the following basic rewards from this dungeon.

•  Aiolite
•  Time Crystal
•  Ore of Despair
•  Fearsome Eye

Special Rewards

Each character can receive Special rewards up to once a day upon clearing any of the 4 dungeons, in addition to Basic rewards. (Count reset daily at 9:00 a.m.)

Hidden Monster Rewards

Exploring dungeons has a chance of spawning a Hidden Named monster, defeat them and it'll drop the following rewards with a higher chance on earning more during Expert mode.

Intrusion Rewards

Jade, Onyx, or Venta can randomly appear in either dungeon. Defeating them will drop 10-14  Ore of Despair in a stockpile.
