Ghent in Crisis
Many Dungeon Fighters arrived in Sky Tower in hopes of finding a utopian pardise. Instead, they discovered a land that had been utterly devastated by the Kartels. As they were inching closer to overthrowing Ghent, the capital of Empyrean, the Kartels were relentless in their violent onslaught. Some Dungeon Fighters, jarred by the plumes of smoke blanketing the skies and the reeking stench of gunpowder throughout the city, were abducted or killed by the Kartels. Other Dungeon Fighters, however, were not as helpless against their blitz attacks--seasoned veterans of Arad and several experienced warriors displayed acts of heroism against the Kartels, with each individual exhibiting combat abilities rivaling that of a hundred Kartel soldiers. Because of these heroes, the Kartels were prevented from overtaking Ghent. Hope has been renewed for Empyrean's future.

Ghent in Crisis
Quest Giver | Marlene Kitzka |
---|---|
Briefing | Marlene: "Have you met Chief Zeldine Schneider? The Kartels have been raiding us daily. They even hold Her Highness hostage. To be honest, I learned how to drive the Magatha just to bring you here--the future of Ghent is in jeopardy! We desperately need the help of someone as strong as you, Dungeon Fighter! Please speak to Chief Zeldine Schneider, the Chief Guard of Ghent, and she'll tell you how you can help us." |

Scouting the Ghent Outskirts
Quest Giver | Zeldine Schneider |
---|---|
Briefing | Zeldine: "I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you to get all the way up here. You must be really tired from your long trip, but please bear with me. As you can already see, the lives of everyone in Ghent are at stake. Those evil Kartels have advanced right before our eyes, but our imperial army hasn't been able to handle them because our electrical power got cut off. It's for that very reason that we've been unable to gauge the strength of our enemy. My intuition tells me that you're a very strong warrior. This may sound rude, but I'd like to ask you to go outside and gauge the strength of our enemy staking out the region around Ghent Outskirts. That piece of information will be crucial to our survival." |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Zeldine: "I'm glad to know that their main forces haven't arrived yet, but I can't let them keep setting our citizens' houses on fire! All this just confirms my impression about the Kartels: they'll do just about anything to win this war. It's completely reprehensible!" |

Dungeon Fighter Rescue
Quest Giver | Zeldine Schneider |
---|---|
Briefing | Zeldine: "Thank you for so generously accepting my first request. I may say you're one of the most powerful Dungeon Fighters I've ever met. Oh, what? You don't believe me? Well, actually, there were several Dungeon Fighters that were here before you. I gave them the same mission that I'm giving you, but none of them have returned! I'm pretty sure that they've been captured by the Kartels. Do you think you could go to Ghent Outskirts and rescue them?" |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Zeldine: "Sorry to burden you with our incompetence. I'm so relieved to know that you've saved them." |

Marlene's Call
Quest Giver | Zeldine Schneider |
---|---|
Briefing | Zeldine: "The rescued Dungeon Fighters are under our protection. They were seriously injured, and our medics are doing their best to save lives. Oh, I almost forgot! Lady Marlene Kitzka was looking for you. You know, the Court Lady who brought you here? I believe she has something to tell you about Her Highness, the Imperial Princess. Please hurry over to Market Street." |

Maintaining Security
Quest Giver | Marlene Kitzka |
---|---|
Briefing | Marlene: "According to the guards at the East Ghent Gate, the Kartels are trying to dispatch a number of spies into Ghent. Those spies must be carrying intel to send to their headquarters, and I'm thinking that there might be information about our Imperial Princess in there somewhere. Please, for the sake of the Princess' safety as well as for the future of Ghent, could you help us stop the spies from leaking our information to the Kartels?! Please defeat the spies and bring their intel to me." |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Marlene: "I've reviewed the intel multiple times, but there's no mention of the Princess at all. Well, at least we were able to stop them from leaking top secret information to the enemy. Wait... there's a code hidden in this document! Let me decode this." |

Urgent Situation
Quest Giver | Marlene Kitzka |
---|---|
Briefing | Marlene: "The Kartels are using every possible method to destroy us. I specialize in intelligence operations, but this cipher is too complicated to decode in short time. I'm afraid we're dealing with an extremely intelligent enemy. I'll need some time to get this done. Why don't you go help Chief Zeldine while I work on this? She could really use the help, I'm sure of it." |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Zeldine: "This is an urgent situation! We really need your help, Dungeon Fighter." |

Stop the Arsonists!
Quest Giver | Zeldine Schneider |

Briefing | Zeldine: "Those despicable Kartels have sacrificed so many lives in the Ghent Outskirts area. What's even worse is that killing them wasn't enough for them: they're going around setting these people's homes on fire now! Dungeon Fighter, please help us! Please stop them from completely devastating Ghent Outskirts." |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Zeldine: "Thank you so much. You are the only hope that remains! I'm just so ashamed of myself for not fulfilling my duty as the Chief Guard." |

The Man Named Sandstorm
Quest Giver | Zeldine Schneider |
---|---|
Briefing | Zeldine: "So, you've already seen the commander of the Fire Controller unit then? If only we could eliminate him, we might actually have a chance at surviving this... *Sigh* When you head down to Market Street, you'll find a man named Sandstorm. He used to be a member of the Kartels, but now he's just a wanderer that stops by Ghent every so often. He looks suspicious to me, but I've let him stay in case I need him to collect information about the Kartels. Now's the time to put him to good use! Why don't you go speak to Sandstorm and learn what you can about the commander of the Fire Controller unit?" |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Varracht: "What?! Did that tomboy send you to me? Wow, what an honor! Haha! I was wondering if she was just being particularly cold to me. Anyways, it's nice to meet you, young Dungeon Fighter." |

Teach Bentinck a Lesson...
Quest Giver | Sandstorm Varracht |
---|---|
Briefing | Varracht: "Sure, I know that snobby little punk Bentinck. He used to be a horse feeder when I was part of the Kartels. I can't believe he's the commander of the Fire Controller unit now. But he still means nothing to me. Why don't you tell him this? 'The Imperial Army has weakened, but they're not so weak that a little punk like you can beat them!' Be a real warrior and teach that jerk a lesson, yeah?" |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Varracht: "Did you tell him what I said? What'd he say? Haha! The guy's still as short-tempered as I can remember." |
Rewards |
The Report to Zeldine
Quest Giver | Sandstorm Varracht |

Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Zeldine: "Thank you for your hard work. I hope that suspicious old man didn't offend you." |

Control Fire Controllers
Quest Giver | Zeldine Schneider |

Briefing | Zeldine: "I'm so sick of the Kartels. I know you've done the best that you could, but they're still attacking us without fail! Dungeon Fighter, could you please defeat them? I have faith that you can defeat them all, no matter how great their number!" |
Objective | Type the instruction to complete the quest here |
Upon Completion | Zeldine: "I can't thank you enough for all your hard work in protecting the peace in Ghent. Even when peace seems like nothing but a distant dream, I'll never forget your generosity and your courage." |
