The Abyss (Energy)
Seria says: "Nothing should be as mysterious as I am!"
Some info is missing, please help to provide it if you can. |
The Abyss (Korean: 어비스) is a infinite source of energy and life introduced in Dungeon Fighter Online.
Discovered and founded by Triplicate Moah long ago in the Arad Year 980 during her research into Dark Magic, the once-inferior faction known as Kashipa, would gain influence throughout Pandemonium, eventually leading to the First Pandemonium Assembly and obtaining Harlem.
Lore
Reverse-Metastasized energy. It looks fluid, but it is not exactly liquid. People implant the Abyss in their bodies to maximize their mana, and its color changes, depending on their personality and the type of magic that they use. Its mana intensification effect is affected by where it is implanted, which is usually eyes, the backs of the hands, and the tongue. In rare cases, the Abyss even replaces the heart.
However, heart implantation is dangerous and often results in death. Only mages obsessed with power dare try such a dangerous procedure.
The Abyss, when implanted, provides an infinite supply of mana and significantly improves physical strength and stamina.
It also helps recover from most injuries, except for those so grievous that cannot be healed by any means, or those that directly affect the Abyss. In those cases, the person will die.
History
Abyss Transplant
A vast majority of Kashipa members have transplanted the Abyss on different parts of their bodies to augment themselves with various power ranging from; physical strength, elemental magic, soul absorption, transformation, body manipulation, immortality, or develop their own type of dark magic through combat. However, some Kashipas have refused to get a Abyss Transplant and were capable of holding their own without heavily relying on it.
During the events of Pandemonium War, Gizel Logan is able to transplant the Abyss within his own technology for either creating new weapons, or reviving the deceased through modification.
