What should we do with this page?

Should we update this page, delete it, or mark it as outdated? Tessa (talk) 04:04, 31 March 2015 (PDT)

I feel like we could delete it. Everything is on the subclasses' page, correct?--Dfoplayer (talk) 10:00, 31 March 2015 (PDT)
Is it alright if I make changes to the Job Advancement Quest? I would like to format it similar to the Epic quest page with the quest info if that's alright. RainofShadows (talk)
Well, like I said, if this is on subclasses' pages already, it would be somewhat redundant. But if you want to, go ahead.--Dfoplayer (talk) 12:03, 31 March 2015 (PDT)
The in-game dialogue is slightly different from the text on the subclass pages but I think that's just in terms of 1st person and 3rd person perspectives. I'm just going to go ahead and update this page for the time being and at the very least, we could just remove the Job Advancements and instead focus on the Awakening/2nd Awakening texts. --AradEditGuy (talk) 16:41, 11 August 2015 (PDT)
Considering now that the awakening quests are being added, although slowly, I retract my previous statement and let's keep updating this page. --Dfoplayer (talk) 17:22, 12 August 2015 (PDT)

Broken dialogue

So I'm just throwing this out there that while I'm updating any dialogue from in-game, there are a lot of noticeable grammar/spelling and just general sentence structure problems that I'm fixing while tossing it on the wiki. No idea when and if they'll be fixed so if you want to update some dialogue, I think it's okay if we fix it up a bit since some of it is pretty easy to spot (and sometimes harder/ambiguous, which in that case I'll leave it alone). Just throwing down the raw dialogue would be fine too, as someone can patch it up.

Example of broken dialogue: "You actually considered my considering!?" --> "You actually considered my concerns!?" --AradEditGuy (talk) 01:50, 12 August 2015 (PDT)

Don't worry, I did the same thing while editing the Epic/Feat/General Quests. I attempt to correct as many grammar/spelling errors as possible when editing the quests. I suggest to trust your judgment when it comes to doing this, as long as it doesn't detract from the dialogue's message. Most of the time though, I look for completely false information that leads to detrimental effects that impede the finishing of quests. (e.g. Objective:Talking to the wrong NPC, translation issues, or incorrect dungeon name). --Altair (talk) 11:20, 12 August 2015 (PDT)

How do I find advancement notes?

I have an Asura, figured maybe I can do something. Arrol (talk) 16:59, 12 August 2015 (PDT)

Usually, I take screenshots when the dialogue appears. For summoners, 4 quests for 1st awakening and 2 for 2nd awakening. Job Advancement Quest#Summoner. Then you use a picture to text converter, or manually enter in the dialogue by hand, which I do.
Then you look through the game files to find the advancement banners. If you can't find it, just crop the picture with the banner and one of us will upload a new version when we find it. --Dfoplayer (talk) 17:20, 12 August 2015 (PDT)
Sorry to intrude, but if you are taking screenshots, you always have the option of recording the quests and saving them as videos via video capture. Make sure that the video is rather high quality (e.g. Professional Ultra HD Mjpeg format etc.) or it will be too blurry to be readable. --Altair (talk) 21:32, 12 August 2015 (PDT)
I prefer screenshots with only a couple kb compared to like 100MB of video data. But that works just as well. --Dfoplayer (talk) 22:55, 12 August 2015 (PDT)

Page may be getting too long210:22, 24 June 2017

Page may be getting too long

We may need to divide this page in the future, or at least find a better way to organize it. It's getting cumbersome to load.

We could possibly divide job advancement quest text into jobs (I.E. a page for Male Slayers, a page for Female Fighters and so on, with a main page linking all of them)

In order to organize it, we should compact each male and female classes all together. (I.E a page for all Slayers, a page for all Fighters, a page for all Gunners, a page for all Mages, a page for all Priests, a page for all Thieves, a page for all Supplementary Characters, a page for all Knights, and a page for all Demonic Lancers). the reason that this is a good idea I created to solve this problem is because if we divided into single classes like what CitricCurrent said "I.E. a page for Male Slayers, a page for Female Fighters and so on." we will be creating a lot of pages probably about 15 pages (estimated). and it will take too long to create if we have a deadline. It's better if we only do 9 pages linking to the main page. that's less than 15 pages. Solved.
