Equipment Tuning

A player tuning their No Icon.png Novice Fox Top.

Equipment Tuning allows players to upgrade their level 115 Rare, Unique, Legendary, and Epic non-Distinct equipment, which provides additional benefits based on the equipment's type. Tuning armor, accessories, and special equipment increases the amount of Set Points they provide by 10, while tuning weapons increase their overall damage, Buff Power, and Adventurer Fame.png Adventurer Fame.

Tuning requires a fixed number of souls and either Goldicon.png Gold or Malefic Residue.png Malefic Residue, the quantity of which depends on the type of equipment and its rarity. A piece of tuned equipment may also be reset back to its original form, which will only refund spent souls. Souls will also be refunded if the tuned equipment was destroyed by converting, disassembling, extracting it, or after failing to reinforce or amplify it.

Each piece of equipment can be tuned up to three times, where the number of times it has been tuned is denoted by a numeral to the left of its name. Once a piece of Rare, Unique, or Legendary equipment has been tuned three times, it can be promoted to the next rarity tier, which will reset their tuning count to zero.

Tuning can be performed directly from the player's inventory, or by speaking to the Mystical Grimoire in NPCs Seria's Room or Inventor Rolumber in Inae, City of Promise.

Equipment Promotion

A player promoting their No Icon.png Starter Training Top into a Unique No Icon.png Cleansing Purity Top.

Once an applicable piece of Rare, Unique, or Legendary equipment has been tuned three times, it may be promoted to the next rarity tier. That is, a Rare piece of equipment can be promoted to Unique, or Unique to Legendary, or Legendary to Epic. Note that this does not allow Epic equipment to be promoted to Primeval tier.

Promoting a Rare piece of equipment will allow it to be assigned to any of the twelve equipment sets, while promoting a piece of Unique or Legendary equipment will retain the set it belongs to. Furthermore, the equipment's quality grade and any applied enhancements, such as reinforcement levels or enchantments, will be retained. Once promoted, its tuning levels will be reset to zero, and can be tuned and promoted again if applicable.

Promotion can be performed directly from the player's inventory, or by speaking to the Mystical Grimoire in NPCs Seria's Room or Inventor Rolumber in Inae, City of Promise.
