Archpriest Beldron was the former leader of Empyrean and the guardian and predecessor of Imperial Princess Erje. He is known for successfully leading the Empyrean people through the First Invasion of the Imperial Capital during the first half of the Empyrean Civil War against the Kartel.
History
As a leader, Beldron hated the Council of Nobility. He believed that they caused too much discrimination toward the people of Wespeace. Due to the Nobility's policies, a great number of Wespeace citizens developed a deep-seated hatred toward the residents of the Capital Island, influencing many of them to join the growing military organization known as the Kartel.
Much to the chagrin of the Nobility, Beldron dictated legislation that resulted in a large number of people from the region being hired to positions within the government in an attempt to make peace. One of these individuals in particular, Jakter Elrox, became a famous general in the Empyrean Royal Army. However, Beldron's legislation proved very little in quelling the Wespeace citizen's rage; as his power was too small to combat the Nobility's continuous discriminatory mandates.
During his rule, Beldron was a victim to a number of assassination attempts. In one particular instance, a group called 'The Company' was framed for attempting to take his life. Although the true assailant remains unknown, much information connects back to the Council of Nobility.
In Arad Year 992, Don Enzo Sipo united the people of Wespeace to invade the Capital Island, beginning the Empyrean Civil War. Through an almost three year struggle, Beldron commanded the Empyrean Army and succeeded in his siege maneuver against the Kartel, cutting off their supply line and forcing them to retreat.
Although Beldron had won the war against the Kartel, his victory was short-lived. After the war, Beldron became more adamant on resolving the struggles between the Capital Island and Wespeace. He enacted more legislation in an attempt to prevent another war with the Kartel, often infringing upon the powers of the Council of Nobility. Shortly after, he was found murdered by an unknown assailant.
More than fifteen days after Beldron's death, his appointed successor, a 10 year old Erje ascended as the new Archpriest, taking on the title of Imperial Princess.
