Sad Song
Level | 48 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Michelle Monohan |
Briefing | Michelle: "Mintai heard a sad song in her dreams. I hope it's not a requiem sung for those two. Would you look for Aganzo and Bwanga in another Nightmare? We must bring them back to reality as soon as possible." |
Objectives | Clear the Corrupt Temple. |
Upon Completion | Michelle: "Welcome back. Did you find Aganzo and Bwanga?" |
Rewards |
GBL Followers Are in the Nightmare
Level | 48 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Michelle Monohan |
Briefing | Michelle: "You didn't find Aganzo and Bwanga. Ah, where are they? Now I'm really worried the song Mintai heard might have been a requiem for the two. Oh, how are things in the Nightmare? Huh? You've seen GBL followers? ...Maybe they've fallen victim to the maddening effect of the Great Metastasis and had to be sealed away along with the monsters. Now I'm worried about how they're faring amongst all those monsters. Would you go back in there and check on them?" |
Objectives | Clear the Corrupt Temple on Medium or a higher level. |
Upon Completion | Michelle: "Welcome back. How is he? Oh... He's corrupted beyond redemption." |
Rewards |
|
The Preachers? Maybe...
Level | 48 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Michelle Monohan |
Briefing | Michelle: "You didn't find out much. But this may be an opportunity for us. GBL is a group of truth seekers, and those stuck in the Nightmare might have been continuing with their research endeavors. It's unlikely, but we shouldn't up on them so long as there's a thread of hope. I believe the higher ranked the followers, the more likely they maintained their integrity. Would you bring me books that their preachers carry?" |
Objectives | Collect the Word of Preacher from Preacher of Light, Preacher of the Dawn, Preacher of Dusk, and Preacher of Shadows in the Corrupt Temple. (The higher the difficulty level, the higher the Quest item drop rate.)
|
Upon Completion | Michelle: "You've brought them. Thank you." |

What You Can Do
Level | 48 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Michelle Monohan |
Briefing | Michelle: I tried to scan for residual memories on this, but to no avail. It's probably because they're guarded by a mental shield unlike those monsters around them. I wish there were other cyphers like me. We're scattered across the continent you know. Bwanga and Aganzo took me in when I didn't have anywhere to go. The thought of them is the push I needed to plow through this obstacle. I'm going to take another look at this book. You should take a rest in the meantime."
<Player>: "(Looking determined, Michelle is searching through the book. I don't know much about the cyphers or Michelle, but I have a feeling she has more reasons than a sense of responsibility to save Aganzo and Bwanga. What can I do to help?)" |
Objectives | Enter Prophetic Dream.
|
Dungeon Dialogue | *Upon entering the Boss Room*
Michelle the Telekinetic: "Why...? Why are you hurting us? We didn't want to be born this way... Why do we have to be punished?!" <Player>: "(Michelle?! No, she's different. I'd better get out of here.)" |
Upon Completion | Michelle: "... ...*Shriek* You're so quiet, I didn't know you were standing there. Sorry, I was thinking about something." |
Rewards | |
Notes | Enter the boss room in Prophetic Dream to complete the quest.
The Prophetic Dream takes the form of Pre-Metastasis Hendon Myre. The Boss Room is the same boss room as that of Verderia. |
Nightmare of the Corrupt Temple
Level | 48 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Michelle Monohan |
Briefing | Michelle: "I've checked all the clues you found in the Nightmare, and something's been nagging at me. I tried to ignore it, thinking it's just the Nightmare of some monsters, but the terrible misgivings I have wouldn't go away. Would you come to the Nightmare with me? You go ahead first. I'll catch up with you soon." |
Objectives | Follow Michelle to the Corrupt Temple and eliminate the Foundation of the Nightmare on Hard level. (You can only go on this quest alone.)
|
Dungeon Dialogue | *Upon encountering the Foundation of the Nightmare*
Foundation of the Nightmare: "Hah hah, I've been waiting for you." Michelle: "Oh, no! The Foundation of the Nightmare has lured us to itself!" *The Foundation of the Nightmare leaves* "And somehow it looks... different this time." *Upon entering the next room* Michelle: "Watch out for the bombs in front of you!" |
Upon Completion | Michelle: "I can't stop thinking about the meaning of what the Foundation of the Nightmare said. Did you notice his manner of speech is ever changing? Do you think he's playing with us? I think that's better than the alternative." |
Rewards | |
Notes | The dungeon is shortened.
Caution: Rooms are filled with EZ-10 Time Bombs and RX-78 Land Runners which inflict bleed damage onto nearby enemy targets upon explosion. Michelle will stun nearby enemy robots. Defeat the Foundation Seed in each room to quickly eliminate the other enemies. Michelle's aura circle grants buffs to allies. Michelle's Lasher skill grants either stealth and/or bonus casting/attack/movement speed. Although, Michelle is technically your ally, she can be hit by your attacks and skills. Plan your attacks and skills accordingly. |
Something That Was Waiting
Level | 48 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Michelle Monohan |
Briefing | Michelle: "Ah, the Nightmare is quaking! What's going on? I've never felt such a violent shake before. If you don't mind, would you go back in the Nightmare and look for the source of the quake? I'm too tired to be of any help right now. If this seal breaks, things will get out of hand really quickly." |
Objectives | Clear the Corrupt Temple on Medium or a higher level. (You can only go on this quest alone.)
|
Dungeon Dialogue | *Upon entering the Boss Room*
Bwanga: "Where is this place? I know it's not the Stru Mountains. Where are my people?" <Player>: "Bwanga!" Bwanga: "Not again. You keep changing your appearance to fool me, but I know you're an enemy. You can come back as many times as you want, but I won't let you harm my people!" *Upon defeating Bwanga* Bwanga: "Ugh... You're stronger than the last time. I'm Bantu Chief Bwanga. I'll die for my people..." <Player>: "(Bwanga's eyes are glazed and unseeing as he continues to mumble to himself. Is he having a nightmare? I'd better leave here for now.)" |
Upon Completion | Michelle: "Huh? You've seen Bwanga, but something about him doesn't seem right." |
Rewards | |
Notes | Bwanga takes the place of the dungeon's boss. Defeat Bwanga to complete the quest. |
Mintai's Dreams
Level | 48 |
---|---|
Quest Giver | Michelle Monohan |
Briefing | Michelle: "It seems he's watching another nightmare in the Nightmare. The Foundation of the Nightmare is clouding his judgment and showing him something completely different. It's unforgivable! ...But even the Foundation of the Nightmare won't be able to maintain his hold over him for long. Even Apostle Sirocco couldn't keep him under her curse for long. I should ask Mintai if she's seen this situation in her dreams. Would you like to come with me?" |
Objectives | Seek advice from Mintai as the Bantu shaman. |
Upon Completion | Mintai: "Hello. Michelle. Dungeon Fighter. You came to me because your minds are filled with anxiety. I'm still hearing that song in my dreams. I haven't seen anything yet, except a road that stretches to the horizon before my eyes But don't worry. Bainti has been showing me the way. It's long and perilous, but always surrounded by warm light. Don't lose your courage." |
