Example of a cursed item

Cursed Equipment is special equipment that is contaminated by Otherverse Energy. This only affects Level 55+ equipment and 2nd Chronicle equipment.

This is usually denoted on the equipment by:
Otherverse energy prevents this item from being equipped or displaying its ability until it is purified.

In order to equip the item and see its ability, you have to Purify the the item. This can be done at Klonter, as he sells a recipe that creates an Otherverse Energy Purification Scroll that will purify any cursed item.

After an item has been purified, it will gain an Interdimensional Ability. This comes in the form of additional Strength, Intelligence, Life (HP), or Mana (MP). The ability you get is randomly selected, but can be changed by using a Conversion Spell that is created from a recipe sold by Klonter.

The Interdimensional Ability bonus can be increased by using amplification and consuming Crystallized Chaos. Go to Klonter and select the Amplify option and choose the item to be amplified. The bonus will increase and a Crystallized Chaos will be consumed. This also upgrades your equipment, much like Kiri's machine. You can also upgrade cursed equipment normally using Kiri's machine, but the Interdimensional Ability bonus won't increase. Purified equipment can only be upgraded using Klonter's machine, regardless of the initial reinforcement level on the item.

You can also Endow non-Cursed equipment with an Interdimensional Ability by using a Tome created through a recipe sold by Klonter.

However, because most of the items involved are relatively rare or hard to get, most tend to not bother purifying an item. On top of that, the cost of buying the items from other Players is usually very expensive.

Item Tips

• Essence of the Rift randomly drops in Otherverse dungeons or from disassembling at a player disassembler.
• Condensed Purity comes from breaking a +10 equipment through Amplifying at Klonter.
• Vestige of Hope comes from grinding +10 or higher equipment that is Lv40 or higher. The higher the enhancement, the more you're likely to get.
• Crystallized Chaos randomly drops in Otherverse dungeons or from disassembling at a player disassembler.
