Hey, I've noticed you guys are adding the quest headers to the item and dungeon pages. If you want, I can add the ones for Time Gate and the Power Station. Though, I won't be able to fill them out with the full quest information until later.
Cool. I'm mostly just looking at the Limited Quests and the NPCs and Items associated to it. So I'll leave the Time Gate and Power Station ones to you~
Hey, do you think it would be necessary to have a separate page that lists Mirror Arad Missions? If so, I can record some data for the objectives while doing my Daily Mirror Arad runs.
You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:
You can view and copy the source of this page.

Okay then. I'll make a skeleton for the page. Is it okay if I separate the page into two parts explaining Circulation Missions and Mirror Arad Missions?
Sure. Circulation Missions are mostly (if not all) just a Scenario Quest anyway, so you'll probably just explain Circulation Missions that way, and then list Mirror Arad Missions starting with the non-Dungeon-specific Missions then the Dungeon-specific Missions after. Or something along that line XD I definitely believe in your judgment when it comes to quest pages~
Hey thanks for making the pages for the Anton and Castle of the Dead pages. I'll get to updating them as soon as I am able.
Anyway, this weekend I'll be making pages about the Scenario Dungeon with a subsection about Arad Adventure Mode. I'll be pretty much getting most of my information from here. Should I add anything else? Should I include information about Share Quests on the page as well?
Hey, just a heads up. I'll be updating the Feat Quest page this weekend, adding updated prerequisites, objectives, rewards, and dialogue. Hopefully, I can get it done before next week Monday. For most quests with prerequisites, I'm just going to put placeholder text there with the associated quest name. I'll change the names to the appropriate quest link template when I finish those pages after May 13th.
I will be cycling over to add prerequisites to the Limited Quests when I'm done.
Okay, cool. I was just working on updating Hell Mode with Castle of the Dead info and it just led me into updating the Hell Mode Feat Quests, which are now updated to the new format, and even has nice Quest Reward Banners for Time Rupture Unlocked and Hell Mode Unlocked~
So as you can see, my chain of editing is kind of random depending on where I start from, but once I start somewhere I tend to go through the chain XD
But yeah, I'll try not to go too much into Feat Quests then. I'll probably be working on the Title animations that we currently do not have, as I just relearned the way to make GIFs. That might lead me back to the Title Feat Quests though, which will chain into the actual Title item pages >.> But since I will have a higher tendency to want to have all the title animations first, that will take a while, so hopefully you'd be done with the Feat Quests by then XD
...if not, I'd continue to bounce around here and there anyway. Like just today I happened to be updating the Galleries for NPC pages with the seasonal sprites, as well as their REGULAR sprites. Still need to work on that. Cuz it's kinda dumb that many pages only have the Christmas sprites and not the normal sprites -.-
Hey JunEcho, I got my DNF file extractor to work. So I'll be uploading some of the really old DFO Nexon files, if that's okay with you.
Yeah, just make sure the name is right and such, and tag older file types like GIFs and JPGs with Delete when you are done uploading the new one, which should be a PNG. Thanks :)
Hey, sorry to bother you again. What do I do when there are two portraits for the same monster like Bakal? Rather, how should I name the file?
I guess since I'm trying to aim for a syntax of Portrait-(MONSTERNAME), you can just go Portrait-(MONSTERNAME) (FORM).png.
Also, remember to categorize the image when you upload them. Portraits are easy, just categorize as Monster Portrait.
Also, make sure to check the categories to make sure the image you're looking for does not already exist. I'm sure Dfoplayer is tired of me cleaning up all the Duplicates I've found by now >.>
Hey JunEcho. I see you are updating the Storybook page as well. Currently, I'm doing the Low Ranking Knight Training Journal. Would you mind telling which ones you plan on working on? I don't want you to experience submission merging problems.
Oh yes, I'll also be adding some old lore to the page from DFOCore books as well, if that's ok with you.
I already added the 2 stories I got XD
Are you able to make sure if I got the covers right, especially for the Empyrean one? Cuz there's more covers in the game files which are not in DFOG yet.
Thanks for your work on the Storybook page! It's definitely needed here :)
Hey, thanks for uploading the in-game files. I still not quite sure how to do that. Yes, the covers are correct and are in the correct spots. As for the other covers: Genesis, The light of Tayberrs, Children of Chainpeace, Becky, the Little Homunculus, and The last Successor of Wullu--those haven't been released yet. But it's good to have them available when they do.
I have the unreleased ones ready; I'll upload them once they get released. Just wouldn't want to upload them with incorrect names and then have to Move and have redirects all over the place XD
...I've done my share of tagging Delete on unused redirects for a while >.>
Hey I was wondering if I should add the Storybook: Seria in the Wonderland from the old Halloween event since it technically is a "storybook" even though it is a fanfic of Seria made by Kargon... I found a reference for it here.
"EX: Reshpon, Village of Pain" and "EX: City of Noire Ferra" are actually not their names. The only thing that uses those names is the dungeon images, but everywhere else (quest book, DFOpedia, dungeon message etc.) the dungeons are referred to as "EX: Reshipone, the Village of Pain" and "EX: Noire Ferra" respectively.
Okay, I guess if you want to switch the redirect and the data, go ahead. But from looking at the Ancient Dungeon names, at the very least it should definitely be EX: Reshpon, and not "Reshipone." EX: Noire Ferra is arguable. But either way we'll need a redirect and a data page, and I guess it doesn't matter too much in the end which one is which as long as we have both.
The thing with "Reshpon" is that Neople is terribly inconsistent with it. Ancient dungeon uses Reshpon, requiem version uses Reshipone, some quest texts use both Reshpon and Reshipon and I forgot where, but Leshpon is in use, too. It's ridiculous lol.
I'll switch them around again and keep the redirects. Putting a note on the page regarding the name would probably not be too bad either in this case...
Hey, it's me once again lol.
As I mentioned in another thread, I was working on making the wiki work as a database (if you're interested, there's a discussion on this on DFO Nexus. As part of that, I wanted to rework the Monster pages because the current format is kind of unwieldly. Since you are the only one working with monster pages right now, I'd like to get some feedback from you.
Infobox - That's the main monster template. Compared to the DataTemplate template, there's a lot of stuff not in there. Family is left out completely because that's something that hasn't been used in years ingame and there's no real way to find out the family without guessing. Images are automatically resized, so there's no need to specify a sprite size. Cards would be an entirely different (item) page, so they're not included.
Spawns - The template used on dungeon pages if a monster appears there. If you use that, the dungeon will automatically be listed on the monster page, including if the monster is a boss or named monster.
Drops - The template for item drops of the monster. Using that is the main reason I want to improve the monster pages. That's needed for the monster to automatically appear on the item page if it drops that item.
Nilvas Gracia is an example monster if you want to see how it'd look in action. Tell me what you think and could be improved upon.
In terms of basic logic and layout, those are fairly solid. The whole idea behind family I feel is so that one can click it and look at other monsters that are obviously of the same race/enemy type/group etc., but if you do not include it in your template we can still manually add categories to each monster page and it'd work functionally the same way.
If we look a bit more in-depth, it's just nitpicking. Like Nilvas Gracia already written under a Boss: section in the Monster section, then behind the name Nilvas Gracia it includes (Boss)? While I understand this is so that monsters that are Bosses in some dungeons may be just Special mobs in some other, I feel changing the text color and bolding it like we have right now with FormatMonster Icon+Name works better, both visually and textually. But that is just for aesthetic. We can change that whenever the templates are functionally ready.
Some more things. Currently your Sprite needs to be specified while Icon defaults to PAGENAME. But the way I have been uploading Sprites and Icons are the opposite: Sprites is PAGENAME.png while Icon is Icon-PAGENAME.png. Also, while omitting Card is understandable (the current FormatMonster Page does not display it anyways; only viewed through the FormatMonster Data), I feel like having Portrait built in to the template is definitely useful. What more, you can make it so we can include more than one Portrait, like your Type logic, to make cases like Nilvas work. Because currently FormatMonster Data has only 1 Portrait field. Definitely a limitation I've ran into already.
Overall, and once again, definitely looking forward to your work. I'm currently mainly just uploading Sprites and Models, and only WHILE in the process am I using DataMonster and FormatMonster templates to update our horribly outdated pages. So as long as you flip the Sprite and Icon logic, then the transmission between DataMonster templates and your templates would be super smooth.
Also, I'm definitely for having the monsters' portraits on their own pages. I don't really like it clumping up the sides of the Dungeon page.
Also one more thing to add about Families: they make it pretty clear about some enemies' families, if you have access to the game files. Also, it's pretty easy to recognize which monsters belong to the same family, simply by how they look like.
Sorry for all these chain replies. Thoughts are just popping into my head XD
For the Sprite and Icon logic, I was mostly referring to the PAGENAME logic. Sprite can definitely differ between PNG and GIF depending on animation, so Sprite should still require the file extension specification. But for Icons, I hope you can default it to Icon-PAGENAME.png at least. Would make our transition so much easier. (meant transition instead of transmission earlier XD)
Okay, I changed the default value for icon to Icon-{{PAGENAME}}.png. I've also added a family property back.
I've also added two portrait properties, they are separate since filenames may include commas and semicolons. I'm not really happy with that though, the portraits (even when it's just one) make the infobox look 'really' crowded. I think it'd work better if they were added to a gallery. Nilvas Gracia has both the portraits in the infobox and in a gallery section so you can see how both options look.
Oh, and I've removed the (Boss) for boss encounters on the Spawns template, it's just a colored link now.
Hey JunEcho. I noticed from your character pool that you have a Soul Bender, Glacial Master, Female Mechanic, Female Ranger, and Male Ranger as well. Most of these classes will have a huge update/revamp coming this January, changing many of the skill values. Of course, this in turn makes the wiki become out of date and will probably lead to a major work overhaul. I was wondering, since we have these classes in common, how about we work together on updating these pages after the New Year?
Sure. I frequent this wiki and definitely wish for its information to be eventually up to date. So I'm definitely interested in working on updating them with you after the New Years update. Once they're out of date, if you can just mark the skills that are outdated with the MissingInfo tag, I'll definitely be able to see it, cuz I'm basically working off of the Great Skill Metastatsis Project page's MissingInfo Skills section.
Glad to see someone noticed me on this wiki XD
Ok, so the Glacial Master skill pages are done, with exclusion to Ice Chain's missing mana costs. I can help you finish up the Ranger skill pages if you want. I'll check skills not listed here and see if any skills are outdated due to changes in MP cost. Afterward, I'll start updating both M./F. Ranger's Death Hawk. We can split skills from there. If you want to split value-type responsibility, such as one person does dungeon values while the other does arena values, I'm okay with that as well.
Hey, I saw that you were working on getting the revolvers updated here on the wiki. Would you mind putting that on hold for now? I'm currently working on setting up some things so that we can search for equipment more effectively, and that would make manual data input on the weapon pages themselves unnecessary. I'd hate to have your effort go to waste!
