Laini is a member of the Imperial Princess Garden under the orders of Erje to inflitrate the remaining Kartels as a spy, though under unknown circumstances she would be caught by Gizel Logan and did something to lose her memory in the process while being attacked by Rabble Rouser Rake.
As the Adventurer aids the Empyrean Army during Final Pursuit, they would come across the amnesic Launcher asking for their help since she doesn't remember what happened from before. While fighting off Kartel members being now accompanied by Rake, the duo confronts Laini arguing with him over who's a traitor only for him to attempt killing them both. Although Laini finally managed to regain her memory back, she would aid the Empyrean Army on their mission taking down the Kartels for good.
