Redirects?

Looks like the redirect Elementalist Cloth Armor Mastery does not appear in ClassSkills|Elementalist. I checked IE, irefox and Chrome, with purge too. I suggest we place the anchor in JobDesc3 under "Armor"?--Dfoplayer (talk) 20:54, 23 May 2015 (PDT)

Skills not in Chronological Order

The skill template does not show skills in chronological order. Arrol (talk)

The template checks in categories to list out the skills. It is in alphabetical order, such as Category:Summoner Skills. Any Summoner skill, ex Spirit Summon: Wisp, will have the same skill list. --Dfoplayer (talk) 20:56, 24 May 2015 (PDT)

Actually, I was referring to how it wasn't chronological in terms of levels. I liked the old skill template better because it'd show you the skills from the lowest to earliest level and it looked better. Arrol (talk) 17:59, 3 July 2015 (PDT)

Oh I see now. The DPL Extension generates a list of pages and I believe by default, alphabetical order. To solve this, we could somehow search the SkillPage "|PrerequisiteLevel=" parameter and sort by that using DPL. --Dfoplayer (talk) 16:54, 4 July 2015 (PDT)

No idea. I would start by "DPL sort by other values". This is a user preference thing. I'm not entirely sure if it is worth to sort by PrerequisiteLevel. When you say it looked better, do you mean the boxes? --Dfoplayer (talk) 14:20, 5 July 2015 (PDT)

Somebody ought to tell me how this template is updated, because I want to add the new Spitfire skills such as  Firearm Mastery. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, it is pretty simple. Just create the new pages, and fill in the missing info using the Template:SkillPage

For example

The biggest parameter to fill in are: 'Name','Gender','Class', and 'Type'. The skill page template takes your information and generates the correct categories.

Then, this template (ClassSkills), goes through the wiki and finds all the skills under the category, 'Spitfire'.

Guess I should have mentioned that my example code is a snippet. I left out the rest of the parameters after 'description' for shortness.

When I first started, I copied from an existing skill page. I advise you do the same, and build up your skills there.

Don't fret about this page (ClassSkills) as I mentioned before; it will find all the skills in the same category.

More specifically it's a mediawiki query that looks for different categories and puts them into the right buckets.

and the like, which if the skill page is properly made, all sorts it out for you.
