Description

Fusion-type Fiend is one of the four Advancing Fiend Units during Fiend War. It is a new-type of Cosmofiend consisting of multiple Fiends of different types.

Move Set

  • Magic Mode: During the beginning of Fusion Fiend's fight, he'll push back players in close-range as he transforms into one of four possible modes and uses two different types of magic. He can also keep changing into a different mode throughout the fight.
  • Red Magic:
    • Meteorite Fall: He'll launch down six meteorites at players, leaving him in a counter damage state.
    • Flamethrower: Fusion Fiend shoots out a flame in front of him, also opening him up to counter damage.
  • Blue Magic:
    • Lightning Clouds: Fiend summons a cloud that keeps shooting lightning bolts at targeted players.
    • Ice Storms: Fiend summons two ice cyclones that will target two players and move towards them. These cyclones inflict Frozen (Status).png Frozen (Status) if anyone is nearby them.
  • Purple Magic:
    • Cursed Totem Fall: Fiend starts dropping purple totems over the whole room. If players are nearby the totems, they’ll have Slow Down (Status).png Slow (Status) applied on them.
    • Shield: Fiend casts a shield on himself and becomes invulnerable for a short period of time.
  • Green Magic:
    • Plant Roots: Fiend summons many plant roots that, upon reaching players will Bind (Status).png Bind (Status) them on the same spot for a short period of time.
    • Aukuso Summon: Fiend summons Contract- Hellflower Aukuso.png Contract: Hellflower Aukuso that targets the nearest players and deals moderate damage to them.
  • Berserk
    • Fiend Madness: If Fusion Fiend's berserk gauge rises due to overuse of holds, he'll become invulnerable and launch the strongest patterns of each type, then change modes and become vulnerable again. ​(Meteorite Fall + Ice Storm + Cursed Totems + Aukuso)

Strategy

  • Use Toy of Sparkling World.png Toy of Sparkling Worlds to negate Frozen (Status).png Frozen (Status) or Slow Down (Status).png Slow (Status).
  • If you're targeted by Lightning Cloud, keep it away from party members to avoid casualties.
  • Avoid over-holding Fiend to prevent his berserk phase.
  • Destroy the Aukuso Flowers when they spawn.
  • Like any other boss that has a counter damage phase, have the Crusader/Enchantress deploy Apocalypse (Male Crusader).png Apocalypse/Crux of Victoria.png Crux of Victoria/Marionette (Enchantress).png Marionette right away and dispatch of Fiend.
