Dendroid Breeding Ground

The Dendroids are a tribe of intellectual trees that used to keep to themselves in their quiet settlement atop Behemoth's back. Only recently have they started acting violent, abducting GBL followers that get too close to their jungle. They've even set their own jungle on fire more than once. GBL recruited adventurers to rescue its followers and investigate the deranged Dendroids. The followers are found half-mad with Lotus's seeds planted in them. Even Centaurs, the knights of green who look out for the jungle, have succumbed to the madness and released Lotus from his seal.

Briefing	Vangelis: "Wait. ...I stopped you because I have a favor to ask. Some of these trees are as intelligent as man, and there's a forest of them in Behemoth. GBL followers frequent the forest to gather medicinal ingredients and tree sap. Recently, it's rumored that the Dendroids of the forest have been abducting GBL followers in their vicinity. Would you save those abducted followers? I should go save them myself, but I fear for my leader's safety, given the situation. Swamps are abundant in the forest of Dendroids. I recommend you ride Dorniar."

You look upset, and I'm afraid you're making the Dungeon Fighter uncomfortable." Vangelis: "Ah, Isadora. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause you alarm." Isadora: "Don't be. I've heard you're investigating the Dendroids. Is everything all right?" Vangelis: "No. It's confirmed that the Dendroids have been abducting our followers. I just can't figure out why." Isadora: "I see. Maybe we should research the sudden change in their behavior. Count me on this, will you? First, we need some samples. <Player>, would you collect the skin of the Dendroids? During my research, I have grown suspicious about something. I'll be able to confirm my suspicion if I can study Dendroids that are stronger than those you collected these samples. Didn't you mention something about Dendroids that set their forest on fire? They're suspicious since the typical Dendroids are naturally afraid of fire. Would you bring me parts of their bodies?"

Briefing	Isadora: "Oh no, Ah, I don't want to believe this, but this is the truth. This energy originates from Lotus, the heinous monster who encroach our minds on the disastrous day. Now I know what drove the creatures of the Middle Ocean over the edge, why the grace of the goddess has devolved into a curse, and why the Dendroids are abducting our followers. That Apostle's influence is again spreading across Behemoth. This shouldn't have happened if Lotus was really kept sealed away by the powerful magic of my order, like I thought. End of the Centaurs

Briefing	Isadora: "I believe he's Centaur, the guardian knight of the forest. Why did he say he'd free the monster? Ah, Ophelia." Ophelia: "I couldn't help but listen to your conversation. You said Centaur praised Lotus. That can only mean he's under Lotus's mind-controlling influence. Lotus is manipulating Centaur into breaking our seal. Centaur is a strong knight. He can break our seal if he sets his mind to it." Isadora: "That sounds highly plausible. We'd better stop him before he breaks the seal. Centaur is immortal. To keep him dead, you must take away Chiron's Spear from him after you knock him down. When you take care of Centaur, please report directly to Ophelia."
