Each character starts in a tutorial dungeon of Cali Forest. Some characters start in different areas and get different dialogue, or even encounter different characters. This page is similar to the Job Advancement Quest page in that it is broken down by character. The game doesn't list an actual quest for this area of the game, but this page is included for completeness sake.

Male Slayer

Room	Dialogue
1	<Player> finds himself in Cali Forest. <player>: "They won't stop coming. Well, I won't stop fighting!" Aganzo enters and destroys the last enemy. <player>: "Who are you? Go away. This is not your fight!" Aganzo: "We don't have time. This place is dangerous. Follow me." <player>: (What? Did he just ignore me? He looks like a strong warrior, though.) <player>: "Well, it's better than fighting alone. All right, take the lead." Aganzo: "This place is safe now. Go through that gate, and you'll arrive in a different place. Be careful. There might be monsters on the other side."
2	Aganzo: "It's filled with monsters, just as I expected. The monsters are scattered on the upper side and at the bottom. Let's split up. I'll take care of the ones at the bottom. You take the ones on the upper side." Aganzo moves to the bottom of the room. Aganzo: "I'll take care of the ones at the bottom. Please take care of the rest." Aganzo kills the monsters on the bottom of the room. Aganzo: "All right, this is how you attack. Take care of the rest, yeah?" <player>: "All right, I'll try!" <Player> kills the monsters at the top of the room. Aganzo: "You're better than you look. Here, wear this. It's better than nothing." Aganzo drops shoulder armor. Aganzo: "Bad things can happen to you if you stay here any longer. Come on, follow me!"
3	The party enters the third room to find the enemies grouped together in the middle. Aganzo: "Mm... The monsters are all gathered in one place this time. We'll have to scatter them... Hey, do you want to try something fun?" <player>: "Fun?" Aganzo: "Yes. I'll scatter the monsters, and you'll attack them. Attack them at the right time, and you can achieve a combo attack!" Aganzo walks past the enemies. Aganzo: "Now is the time! Attack the enemies!" <Player> kills the monsters. Aganzo: "You look exhausted. Here, drink this. It'll get you back on your feet. We're almost there. I hope nothing bad happened." <player>: "Bad? What are you talking about?"
4	The party enters the fourth room to find Seria and the Black Nightmare. Aganzo: "There she is! I'll take care of that dark fellow. Go wake up that woman!" <Player> rescues Seria while Aganzo attacks the Foundation of the Nightmare. Seria: "Ah... Um..." Foundation of the Nightmare: "No... Interrupted... Plan..." <player>: "Hey, are you awake? Hey! Whew, she's waking up." Aganzo: "Is she? Good. Mm?! I'm sensing the energy of the Nightmare from the depths of the forest. I have something else to do in the forest, so please take her to her village." <player>: "Huh? What do you have to do alone?" Aganzo: "I'll be counting on you. I hope we'll meet again." Seria: "Where am I? I think I had a nightmare... I can't remember..." <player>: "Ah! Are you awake? Can you walk? Let's get out of here!" <Player> and Seria arrive at Silver Crown. Seria: "This is my village. You must be tired from your long journey. Why don't we move to my room and continue our conversation?"
