Are icons mandatory in order for a certain category to be considered done? I'm not sure whether or not DNF Extractor and DFO Toolbox could get me banned from playing DFO Global.
Technically no, but afaik using as long as you aren't doing anything malicious you can use DNF Extractor and DFO Toolbox without any risk of punishment.
I almost forgot, Private snafuPop. Where and how did you get the DNF Extractor? I would like to get the image of the new Barrier Caster monster.
Here's a source and guide http://dfonexus.com/threads/dnfe-3-0-usage-guide.372/
So for certain items, especially if using IconLink for skills/stats, it can return "Error: String exceeds 1,000 character limit". Is there any way to increase the limit by a web-admin/whoever is capable, or is it an innate issue?
Can you give a specific example where this happens? At least for database stuff there shouldn't be a character limit in place.
Ah... The Equipment infobox template uses #replace for the description parameter to replace *
with *
to prevent wiki formatting, and #replace has a 1000 character limit. I've reduced the characters that IconLinks adds by 36, so that should help a bit.
Stats don't really need IconLink imo because the icon for the stats is not terribly helpful (unlike skill icons) so we can remove those if a description reaches the limit again. If there's an item where even doing that doesn't help, notify me and I'll look into an alternative.
You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:
You can view and copy the source of this page.
How do you get the icons from the game? Is there a way to get from the files or something or should I just prnt scrn?
There's a program called DNF Extractor. I don't know how much more I should say about it >.> You can probably find the thread about it from Google.
Though DNF Extractor is more comprehensive as a tool overall, I like to use DFO Toolbox for extracting icons; It's a lot more approachable to use for beginners who only need icons.
I can probably upload a .zip with all equipment icons so people don't have to bother with any 3rd party extraction programs.
Hey, I grabbed all ring icons using DFO Toolbox. With the help of DFOpedia I renamed some ring icons according to their in-game equivalent. Using the DFOpedia rarity order I named the icons after their first find.
Because of this it is possible that I named some legendary or epic rings after a magic-sealed ring if they share the same icon.

Hi, I created a few new pages regarding the Halidom items to get a base to work with.
For the converter Magic-sealed Equipment Halidom Converter (Lv. 15) I used the recipe template which seems appropriate.
The problem is that it requires the successful result to be a wiki page. For now I used the equipment type pages as placeholder, but instead of creating a new template for converters I think it would be sufficient to just allow the result to be free text instead of a wiki page. That way I can just write something like "Untradable Lv. 15 Halidom Accessory".
For the actual items I would then use the contains template as seen in Devolved Box - Cracked Dimensional Accessory.
I got all the ingredients for the converters written down. Just want to clear this up before I start adding them.
Halidom pages look fine!
For now, do not add more Converter items, I'll whip up a separate template for it: Changing the existing Recipe template to accommodate Converters is more of a hassle than is worth it imo.
I've added a template for Converters now. See Template:Conversion or Magic-sealed Equipment Halidom Converter (Lv. 15).
As for Halidom pages, you don't need to note that they can be obtained Untradable using converters. We're only putting up the version of the item on the wiki that's in the DFOpedia.
