Kane is one of the many tertiary antagonists of Dungeon Fighter Online and serves as the Final Boss for the Old Screaming Cavern.
Notoriously known for being a cruel and prideful man in life, Kane was one of the many warriors who ventured into the Screaming Cavern to fight Sirocco. However, due to his hubris, he recklessly ventured ahead of the others while seeking glory, and died a horrifying death to Sirocco.
After his demise, his corpse and spirit were influenced by the powers of Sirocco. He was transfigured into a monster named Skull Kane, and forced to spend his afterlife wandering the depths of the Screaming Cavern for all eternity.

Character Biography:
Male / Age 37 (at the time of the Screaming Cavern Incident).
The leader of the group dispatched from the Mist to the Screaming Cavern.Ruthless and violent by nature, he was a notoriously powerful swordsman in Arad who not only murdered but also left his own colleagues to die for the sake of own goals.
After being isolated in the Screaming Cavern, he attempted to put the others under his control, but when some of them protested, he mercilessly slaughtered them for refusing to listen.
Feeling fear toward this figure, the Empire's mage, Renee, joined his side to survive, and informed him of Sirocco's presence within the Screaming Cavern, which she had discovered utilizing her abilities.
In response, he recklessly charged ahead, seemingly able to compete on par with Sirocco, but eventually was defeated and lost his life.
After his death, he became a monster under the influence of Sirocco, and currently roams about the Screaming Cavern.
Sirocco Raid Lore:
I was ripped apart by Sirocco.
I lamented for my pathetic ending in the Screaming Cavern, and I blamed Fate for it. But when I opened my eyes again, what lay in front of me looked nothing like the Heaven and Hell that I heard about. It was just... darkness. Complete darkness. Is this what Hell looks like?
I wondered if I was still inside the Screaming Cavern.
Swinging my sword, I cut my way through the silent darkness that lay in front of me that seemed darker than it was ever before. I had this vague hope that I'd eventually reach the end of this darkness if I kept walking. I walked and wandered endlessly, trying desperately to escape the darkness. I was completely alone in the darkness that was deeper than the Abyss. It slowly encroached upon me, blinding my eyes and confusing my mind.
Now, I don't know where my real memories end and illusions begin. I cut down everything that came at me. I made sure nothing even got close to me. Fighting was the only thing I could do in the cold Abyss.

Old Screaming Cavern
As an Enemy (Old Screaming Cavern)
Move List
- Cuts players with his knife.
- Attacks with lightning bolts.
- Summons spectral copies of himself to attack.
- Dashes towards players.
Strategy
As an Enemy (Sirocco Raid)
Kane makes his return inside Sirocco Raid as the boss of Phase 2's True Hall of Subconsciousness: Suppression under his Assassin in the Fog title.
Move Set
- Sword Rain: Kain throws his sword into the air, splits, and falls down like rain. Then those swords that stay on the ground will explode at the end of pattern.
- Deadly Mist: He'll casts a circle of mist around him that deals very heavy mult-hit damage if anyone comes into contact with it.
- Blade Dance: Identical to Blade Master's Ultimate Blade Dance - Lightning, Kain makes a wide x-axis clash with his blade, leaving marks on the ground. Those marks will also make additional clashes.
- Moonlight Cut: Kane delivers a AoE wide slash attack.
- Remnant Slash: He casts a big, X-Axis slash either on the top or bottom sections of the map.
- Berserk
- Assassin in the Fog: Kane teleports into the middle section, vanishes and creates a series of clones of himself while Sword Rain is ongoing. In order to successfully clear this pattern and get Kane in his groggy state, the party must find the real Kane and deplete his HP three times before a timer gauge below fills up. Each time a phase is a cleared, he'll add one extra clone to the next one (I.E Phase 1 - 2 clones, Phase 2 - 3 clones, Phase 3 - 4 clones). Upon clearing the third phase, he'll enter his groggy state for 25 seconds. -- Failing to meet the requirements results in Kane doing a roomwide party wipe.
Strategy
- Kane in Sirocco can be seen as a updated version of his Old Screaming Cave fight, Although he fights like a Omniblade, wields hard hitting mutli-hit patterns that easily kill anyone, he has low HP and defenses.
- Suppression has a 30 second respawn time limit and clearing it either once or twice causes not only a resonance during the three True Hall of Consciousness dungeons to spin in a clockwise motion that affects parties who are fighting one of Sirocco's forms, but it also forms an red aura betweeen the 12'0 clock upper dungeon and True Hall of Subconsciousness: Oblivion where Roxy is located.
- Before encountering Kane, you'll need to find him in first inside Suppression's 4x4 map layout and he's only located around the room's edges. He can be easily dispatched of upon entry by having the Buffers deploy their Apocalypse/ Final Judgment, Crux of Victoria/ Laus di Angelus, Marionette/ Curtain Call and burst him down.
- For Assassin in the Fog:
- Bullet Time can be used to either extend his groggy or find the real Kane during each phase of his clones if he has higher HP and fog emitting around him.
- Avoid Sword Rain to prevent casualities.
- Try not to waste time by carelessly attacking the clones during those phases.

Trivia
- Due to transliteration between Korean and English, Kane's name pronunciation often gets confused with Cain. In actuality, Kane's name is spelt '케인' (ke-in) in Korean while Cain's is spelt '카인' (ka-in), which are respectively pronounced phonetically ˈke-ēn/ˈkān and ˈkä-ēn/ˈkīn in English.
- A Sirocco Epic Set that's focused on sustained damage is themed after him.
