Wrecking Haboob is a boss fought in Sanctuary of Destruction.

Description

Born on Planet Gallabaddon, Haboob is a creature that absorbs a mass amount of energy and fights with others for it similar to The Seven Mistral & Apostle Sirocco. When Sirocco died, she was teleported to Pandemonium, but because there is not much energy to absorb, Haboob was slowly dying. Luke found her and placed her in the furnace of Sanctuary of Destruction and for saving her life, Haboob was eternally grateful to Luke and thus she started to serve him even without brainwashing.

Move Set

• Blast Furnace: Haboob is invincible and cannot be damaged by normal means until the furnace is opened after certain patterns.

• Flame Bubble: Raises the nearest player to the furnace and attaches Flames to them and can be spread like burn status. Flames can also affect the other patterns. Players with flames should not attack the furnace when it opens. Haboob will also aim a flame beam at members with the flame. Anyone hit by this beam will also receive the bubble.

• Fireballs: Haboob shouts "Play Ball!" and summon fireballs with a range indicator. These deal heavy damage and can be avoided or blocked. Those who have Flames attached can be instantly killed if hit by one of them.

• Half Bath: The furnace will be opened, making Haboob vulnerable to damage. However, she'll have lava fall down on players who have Flames attached and stepping in the lava pools can cause lethal damage.

• Flame Slimes: Haboob will summon a Fire Slime to eat a random player and begins casting. After casting is finished, the furnace will be opened. They can be dispatched quickly.

Berserk:

• Purge: Players with Flames that attack while the furnace is opened causes Haboob to get angry and launch large flame stones that fall from the ceiling, creating lave pools on the ground which deals very lethal damage. During this phase, four coolers will spawn in the corners and standing on them will protect players from the lava and extinguish flames. If two or more players stand on the same cooler, it'll deactivate.

Strategy

• It's recommended that a Male or Female Crusader can approach the furnace and get the Flame Orb first and must stay far away from the party as possible during the fight.

• With a well coordinated party, Haboob can be skipped with proper timing if holds are used on her once she rises out of the furnace and dispatched with ease.

• Skills such as Nen Guard, Deflection Wall or Uriel's Ward for example can block Flame Orb upon entering, but it must be used before Haboob grabs the nearest player.
  • Wooyo's Golden Tonfa, Rosary, or Cannon can also skip the Flame Orb due to their invicible buff ability.
