Epic Crafting Machine
This article contains content that was removed. |
The Epic Crafting Machine is a special NPC located in Hendon Myre that allows players to craft a selection of Level 90 Epic weapons.
As of Season 7 Act.04, the Epic Crafting Machine has been removed from the Global Client.
Epic Crafting System
- Players can begin crafting Epic weapons at Level 55.
- Kiri will offer a series of quests related to the Epic Crafting Machine, though it is not required to complete in order to begin crafting.
- Weapons gain progress by processing, Carbonic Crystals and catalysts into the weapon.
- Carbonic Crystals are a guaranteed drop from all Boss Monsters in dungeons above Level 55.
- More types of catalysts are unlocked as the character's level increases.
- Only one weapon can be processed at a time, though the current weapon may changed at any time.
- Changing will cost Carbonic Crystals and Epic Souls.
- Similar to regular Epic equipment, crafted weapons are untradable.
- Additional elemental effects can be added to completed crafted Epics obtained through this process.
- For a list of weapons that can be crafted, see the Category page.
Processing
The only way to increase progress towards crafting a weapon is to use Carbonic Crystals as well as a variety of different types of Catalysts:
- Basic Catalysts are created by using 500-750 of any Material items, such as Clear Cube Fragments or Low Grade Elemental Crystals. The amount needed changes depending on the item's rarity, and different items can be processed at the same time.
- Medium Catalysts are created by using 50 Superior Cloths, Superior Leathers, Superior Bones, Superior Iron, Superior Hardeners, or Superior Paving Stones. All of these items can be crafted via Roger Levin or Melvin Richter.
Furthermore, one of the following catalysts may be also used (which grant increasing amounts of progress):
- Fine Catalysts, which are created by processing a Level 70-85 Sealable (or Resealable) Unique weapon as well as Unique Souls. The amount of catalysts received can be increased based on the weapon's Reinforcement, Amplify, and Refine values.
- Special Catalysts, which are created by processing Gracia Family Heirloom, Dusky West, and Requiem weapons, which are purchased from Luther in Saint Horn. Terra: Reconstruction weapons can be also be processed, which are crafted through Hunter Von in Metro Center. Like Fine Catalysts, the item's Reinforcement, Amplify, and Refine values will influence the number of catalysts received.
- Using multiple of these on the same weapon will result in diminishing returns.
- Finest Catalysts, which are processed by using a Legendary Soul and a Godly Substance, which is an exceedingly rare drop from monsters in Pandemonium.
There are also a few extra caveats to consider when processing:
- Weapons can only be processed up to 7 times a week, regardless of the quality of the items used.
- Epic Processing will never fail.
- There is a small chance of receiving a Great Success, which doubles the efficiency of the catalyst used.
- The highest-quality catalysts will be used first.
- Weapon processing progress is not shared throughout the account.
Bonus Effects
Additional elemental effects can be added to crafted Epic weapons. Inflict Fire/Water/Light/Shadow can be applied to a weapon for 50 Elemental Stones, 50 Carbonic Crystals, and 20 Unique Souls. Only one element can be applied at once, but can be changed at any time.
Furthermore, one of the following effects can be added for 100 Elemental Stones, 100 Carbonic Crystals, and 50 Unique Souls:
Fire Constant Object | Attacks create a 5 percent chance of casting up to 5 Bursting Flames on random enemies within a 500 px range. (Cooldown: 5 sec.) |

Again, this can be changed at any time, however applying a new one will overwrite the old one.
