- It's current name and motif are themed after the Castlevania franchise:
- Mathias Cronqvist, the main antagonist in Lament of Innocence is featured on the flavor text who would later become Lord Dracula after losing Elizabetha.
- Soma Cruz, the protagonist of both Aria & Dawn of Sorrow takes on the Dark Lord role during the latter game's bad ending sequence.
