Nightmarish Nerbe is a mini-boss fought in Sanctuary of Dispersion.

History

A Tartan in disguise, Annihilator Nerbe is one of Luke’s underlings made of pure Black Nightmare. The ring he’s wearing is called Light Force Ring. He infiltrated Anton in order to guard him (and thus not allowing the prophecy of Luke’s demise to come true), but his real goal was to absorb Anton’s Black Smoke into his ring, which was sealed at a time in order to keep Nerbe’s true nature under disguise. Upon Anton’s demise, Luke brought Nerbe’s body back to Castle of the Dead, modified his body, revived him and unleashed the ring's seal.

Move List

"This... Is... my... realm...": Nerbe teleports in the middle of the room saying "You can't get away from me." and he'll cast a purple bubble similar to Nen Guard and will move around for a few seconds. Unlike Nen Guard, he can be damaged inside the bubble.

"Darkness absorbs everything.": Nerbe will attempt to pull in players by using his palm while clouds appear above the room with black lightning striking down. He is invincible in this state and getting hit by the strikes will cause a blind status.

Purple Orb: Nerbe will cast a blue barrier around himself uttering "Try to get out, if you can." and summons a purple orb near a random player that floats around, dealing moderate damage and could stun lock if not destroyed.

Purple Laser: Nerbe fires a laser blast that deals moderate damage.

Dash: Nerbe will constantly dash at players for moderate damage while leaving a trail of lightning strikes which can knock them in the air.

Berserk Gauge: There are a few ways that causes Nerbe to go berserk.

  • If any player steps out of the bubble.
  • Overusing holds.
  • Purple orb isn't destroyed.

Shadow Pillars: Nerbe will knockback players and summon four pillars in each corner that'll create small red orbs which can heal him. These pillars must be destroyed immediately and failure to do so will cause him to do another berserk mechanic.

Confine them in Darkness! Nerbe will cast down lightning and capture all players on screen, each lightning strike will tick away at their HP while a bar above their head slowly starts to fill up. When that bar is full, players' HP will quickly deplete.

Notes & Strategy

  • In Luke Raid, he represents The World tarot card.
  • When Nerbe utters "Ahh, the power of darkness is no more." he'll be stunned for a couple of seconds which leaves him open to attack after using certain mechanics.
  • It's possible to burst him down before he could perform any of his moves upon entering the room.
  • Try not to use too many holds as the beserk gauge can quickly fill up.
