Description

Sniper Irigare, the Deathgazer, is one of the many cybernetically-modified soldiers serving the Kartel.

Formerly a notorious mercenary of the Lawless District, Irigare operated as the Kartel's sniper during the Battle for Arden Heights. During the third push by the Kartel, she was countered by Left-Straight Neil of the Arden Garrison, led by Ranger "Glass" Bilmotz. After many attempts, Irigare was able to neutralize Neil during Gargan Peyo's betrayal, destroying his rifle and badly damaging his hand. Her victory was shortlived, however, as another member of the Arden Garrison named Audrey shot Irigare with her machine gun. Although the Kartel claimed the Lawless District, Irigare did not live to see this, having died of her gunshot wounds.

Though her life ended that day, death would not be the end for Irigare. At some point, her body was recovered, which allowed Gizel Logan to give Irigare life once again through cybernetic enhancements. Though she was not more machine than human, Irigare's memories of her past life remained, and she quickly returned to the battlefield to serve the Kartel once more.

During Empyrean's push to reclaim the Lawless District, the adventurer and Neil ventured towards Heiz, only for Neil to discover Irigare was still alive. Despite her best efforts, the combined team of Neil and the adventurer prove to be too much, and Irigare is killed once more. A short while later, to Neil's shock, he and the adventurer encounter Gargan Peyo and Irigare, once again back from the grave. Irigare's second resurrection is short-lived, though, as she is quickly defeated a final time by the duo.

Notes / Oddities

• Irigare was 32 at the time of her original death.
• While she appears to display some sense of self and autonomy, Irigare's subconscious programming seems to drive her more than anything else.
