Alchemists are schooled in the profession of alchemy, and can create various potions.

Becoming an Alchemist

Player must be level 20

• Accept the Profession Quest to become an Alchemist
• Turn in 100 Clear Cube Fragments to Abello
• Talk to Abello to receive a Rookie Alchemy Extractor and to learn how to craft

Details

Using Alchemy

• All alchemy recipes can be purchased from Abello
• Buff potions' effects will persist even after clearing the dungeon it was first used in.
• Experience is earned by extracting materials from items using the Alchemy Extractor and by crafting potions
• You can use recipes up to +2 of your current Skill level. Success will result in higher EXP, but have an increased chance of failing.
• Be warned that failing potion creation will result in a loss of materials and no EXP earned.
• Using recipes that are -2 or less than your current Skill level will result in no EXP gain.

Materials

Alchemy materials can be obtained by:

• Daily Quests (tagged as [Special Job] in the quest log)
• Gabriel's Secret Shop
• Using the profession grinder to grind rare equipment (It is recommended that one uses their Alchemy Extractor on equipment of Rare (purple) rarity or higher, as grinding Common (white) and Uncommon (blue) equipment will only yield Bottles of Wind.)
• Purchase from auction house

Almost all of the materials do not drop from enemies or bosses in dungeons.
