Monster pages | 5 | 15:44, 16 November 2016 |
Hi there! Thanks for adding the sprites for Atar Redric and Survivor Chanel. I would just like to let you know that we are no longer using the DataMonster template, and is moving towards updating all monster pages into using the Monster infobox template. I have updated the Atar Redric and Survivor Chanel pages so you can see how the Monster infobox template is used. So we no longer need to have the weird interaction of having DataMonster [MONSTER NAME] and FormatMonster Page's auto page generation.
One thing to note is that the default naming format for monster sprites is simply [MONSTER NAME].png, with appropriate spaces, so Atar Redric's sprite would be Atar Redric.png. Basically the file name has to match the page name exactly, then be in .png. I have already moved the sprites to their proper names, so this is just for your future reference. If you're using some animated gif instead, then you'll have to specify the "image" field of the Monster infobox template. Check Monster infobox's template page for proper formatting.
Once again, thanks for adding the sprites! I will update them to a higher quality at a later time. Hope to see your continued contributions!
Heads up: I uploaded a "Monster" sprite for Hound Cyrus. Given that the Cyrus page is not a typical monster page, but a combo monster-NPC page, I thought I'd let you handle it.
Thanks again for the excellent Wiki.
Just want to let you know that you got the naming convention correct for Hound Cyrus's monster sprite. Thanks for the upload!
@JunEcho:
I tried to upload a picture of Zeldine that wasn't cropped in such a strange way, but every time I do so, it seems to preserve the original bizarre cropping. However, once I change the picture a second time, it undoes the strange cropping and displays the picture I intended to upload.
I am confused. See my flailing in the http://wiki.dfo.world/view/File:Zeldine.png page. Is it a caching issue or something?
