Details
Using Enchanting
1. To first enchant gear, you need to learn how to do it. This is done by buying a recipe from Abello. Right-click on the recipe and you'll permanently learn how to do it.
- You only have to buy a recipe once.
- You can obtain and use recipes that are up to +2 levels than your current skill level.
2. Gather the required materials.
Three main materials are needed to enchant equipment:
- Monster Cards
- These can be obtained via random drop from a large number of Enemies. Cards have rarity much like equipment, making some easy to obtain, and others near impossible to find. See Monster Card for more details. You don't need the card yourself in order to enchant other Players' gear, but the other person must produce it at least if you don't have it.
- Mana Solvent
- These can be obtained via disassembling equipment in mana extractors
- Elemental Crystals
- Half the recipes use Low Grade Elemental Crystals and the other half use High Grade Elemental Crystals. Low Grade Crystals are obtained from grinding Rare (Purple) equipment, while High Grade Crystals are obtained from grinding Unique (Pink) equipment.
- Other Materials
- The remaining items are usually Cube fragments or whole Cubes. The rarer recipes usually require Gold Cube Fragments.
3. From here, go the main menu and choose Profession.
4. Choose the piece of equipment you wish to enchant and drag the into the Enchant window. From here, the specified recipes will automatically be sorted for that piece of equipment.
- If your Skill Level is less than the recipe's Proper Skill Level, you may fail the enchantment.
- If you fail the enchantment, your materials will be consumed regardless and no experience will be gained. You will NOT lose the equipment you were going to enchant.
Using Enchantment
Aside from enchanting your own gear, you can also enchant other Players' gear. This is done by either:
- Clicking on a character and choosing the "Enchant" option.
- Someone clicking on you and choosing the "Request Enchant" option.
From here, the Player can choose the gear they want to enchant and produce the card with the required effect.
- The Enchanter only needs the materials in this case. (Although you could trade with the Player beforehand to get the required materials.)
- You can also set a Transaction Fee if you wish.
- Then choose the required recipe and have both you and the Player confirm the enchantment.
- After the enchantment succeeds or fails, you can then decide whether to do more Enchanting. As noted above, performing a recipe above your Skill Level has a chance to fail.
Production
Enchanters aren't left out of the loop when it comes to Production. They can create Magical Products, which are produced with Colored Cube Fragments and Raw Mana, which comes from Alchemists. Alchemists use Magical Products in their higher-level recipes.
Beads
Enchanters can create Beads. Spirit Essences are required for Bead creation in addition to the normal enchanting materials. These can be obtained from Animators.
Ethereal Spirit Essences
Lucid Spirit Essences
Zoetic Spirit Essences
Beads allow a Player to do the enchanting themselves without needing an Enchanter. Using a Bead will result in a 100% chance of enchanting gear with no fail. However, the Enchanter can fail in creating a Bead if the required enchant is above their Skill Level. Beads can be sold and put in the Auction House.
