Description
Executioner Belial is one of two Cosmofiend end bosses that appears in Pandemonium Rift. He looks very identical to Riftmaster Gaunis only with a red & black color scheme while varying much differently from Executioner Turiel in terms of attack patterns which are very strict to follow. He is also assisted by a floating eye.
Move Set
"Begin Execution."
- Floating Eye: "Reveal yourself!" Belial spawns a floating eyeball that will slowly follow players around and emits a lighting beam below that deals moderate to heavy damage along with hitstun if hit by the and beam and most likely result in death. When Belial begins his room wide attack Lightning Wave, the eye stops, closes and spawns a small Nen Guard that can be used for protection against it, then the eye opens back up to repeat the process afterwards.
- Tile Transformation: Belial uses his staff to transform the entire floor into tiles that he'll use to attack players throughout the entire fight.
- Glowing Panels: "Where you stand is Hell." Belial raises his staff to summon beams to shoot up from the ground tiles. The affected ground tiles differ in the following sizes and the player's current location. Anyone in the illuminated tiles will take damage and receive a status ailment depending on the color of the tiles and beams that shoot out from the panels:
- Purple Panels: Blue Beams cause Freeze (Status).
- Red Panels: Orange Beams cause Burn (Status).
- Yellow Panels: Lightning Beams cause Shock (Status).
- Lightning Wave: "No one will survive!" Belial always starts off the fight by using this roomwide attack that turns all the panels yellow and fires out lightning beams inflicting moderate to heavy damage with Stun (Status) if players are caught in the attack. He'll use this move after doing 5 - 7 Glowing Panels.
- Red Lightning: After Lightning Wave is done, Belial follows up by summoning red circles under players' feet with red lightning bolts striking down on them. Being hit by the bolts will cause lethal damage enough to be killed.
Strategy
- Belial is vulnerable to attack as he takes a moment to summon his eye, use this opening to your advantage.
- Never stay in one place for too long. Lure his Floating Eye by rotating around the room. But keep yourself close enough for the eye to be close enough to Belial when it closes to allow you to get in some fast burst attacks. Additionally, try to avoid using skills with long animations, it may give the eye too much of an opportunity to travel to you.
- Occasionally, Belial will stand still and not attack in between his lightning panel attacks.
- The most important part of this fight is to remain patient. Belial does not regenerate HP. Unlike his counterpart Turiel, he cannot be constantly fought directly. Also, Belial does not have a way to attack you directly and it's possible to take no damage while fighting him.
Appearances
- Pandemonium Rift (Boss)
Notes
- Standing still on the same tile for 3 seconds will flash white and results in a instant kill.
- There's a bug where the Floating Eye drifts off randomly to the right or left.
- Belial's HP threshold increases with 2 or more party members.
Rewards
- 1 Refined Terranium
- Level 85 - 90 Epic Equipment or Fragments.
Trivia
Belial is the name of a demon featured in Jewish and Christian mythology that represents the personification of the devil.
