Description

A powerful Lugaru with envenomed claws. Has an attack before and after its lunge animation.

Move List

The Penril has several basic attack animations and abilities similar to the Lugaru, as described below.

  • The Penril can leap up into the air and claw downward. It can also swipe its claws back and forth. Both of these attacks have a chance to poison the target. There's also a hitbox that comes out when it readies to leap.
  • It can also attach itself to a player and "feed" on him or her, draining away blood while dealing intense damage and possibly poisoning the victim.
  • It occasionally creates a poisonous cloud. Exposure to this has a good chance of poisoning whatever is in it.

Tips

  • This boss moves fairly quickly on account of the fact that it leaps often; ranged weaponry or attacks are best against it. Keeping it in the air may be difficult, but will ensure that it cannot harm you.
  • The Penril recovers quickly from attacks; hit-and-run tactics might be necessary.
  • If affordable, items that cure the Poison status are a definite must.

Monster Status

The Penril can be fought as an ordinary monster only in the Shadow Thunderland. While it has less health, it retains many of its deadly abilities.
