There are three categories of chronicle items: 1st Chronicle, 2nd Chronicle, and 3rd Chronicle. Getting 1st Chronicle gear requires completing a long quest line. While 2nd Chronicle gear requires doing the first three Otherverse dungeons: Goblin Kingdom, Castle Nebulous, and Rangelus's Guerrillas. The 3rd Chronicle gear requires running the next three otherverse dungeons: Void Rift, Castle of Bakal. and Dark Side.
