Revision as of 17:36, 15 April 2010

Addressed/Older Issues have been placed here

List of things to do

Basic contents that need to be completed. Sorted in an order where the top takes priority. Pretty much the same format as Mabinogi World Wiki. --Uchocobo 02:19, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

  • NPCs
Currently thinking of new way to organize and implement the new ways of displaying NPC rather than continuing the one in Mabinogi World Wiki
  • Skills
Ignore Theif, Female Gunner for now. Would be wise to follow the skill desc on one client for now and fix it as the game gets released.
Categorizing fixed/percentage magical and physical damages, categorizing skills that consume cube fragments, categorizing skills to each respective level range.
  • Areas
Upto Behemoth, including Tower of Death. Doubt that anyone will be fast enough to go beyond Behemoth within 5 days of the game's release.
  • Monsters
Upto Behemoth.
  • Game System/Mechanics
Endless pages of text to translate. Would be very helpful if anyone fluent in Korean/Japanese/Chinese can edit the necessary documents.

Possible contents to enrich the wiki

  • Adding different version names?
  • Trivia. Already have collection of old Korean client files and background stories to add to various pages.
  • List of Merchandises?
  • Information on god forsaken Arad Senki Animation

I have some information on the Arad Senki Animation. It is called Slap-Up Party. It's about a slayer partying up with some people. It's really funny and it was released before the game was. The anime is a little different than the game. The gunner, who's name a Cabensis, is more like a Ranger/Mechanic/Launcher. He does the awakening move for ranger, has a mechanical robot called Cabencho, and once used the M-3 Flamethrower. Each character's personality is different from each other's. I think this was a really good and funny anime. Just look it up on google and you can find it anywhere. The Arad-Senki Official Website should have it for download---Regards, TechnicalDeath 05:17, 20 Oct.ober 2009 (UTC)

DFO Lore

There are some interesting lore information on the DFO Source forums about the apostles and the setting and what not. http://www.dfosource.com/forum/general-discussion/2075-dfo-world-setting-9-apostles.html and http://www.dfosource.com/forum/general-discussion/2119-dfo-world-setting-fortunesinger-battles-pandemonium.html
Certainly interesting info to include, however anyone who has access to official Korean Artbook for DnF has better and accurate plot/setting information regarding the game. Some of them I see on that page has been mistranslated or missed few facts... --Uchocobo 03:12, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Site full of info

http://dnfwiki.machine-code.com/index.php?title=Main_Page Done25 22:43, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Outdated. I would prefer either Japanese or Korean wiki. --Uchocobo 16:03, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
It does have very little but it has most of the skills listed and they are all in English. Google translator can only do so much. Done25 04:46, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Most of the contents we uploaded so far are translated by contributor him/herself, not with online web translator. =(
(Admin team members are bilingual) For the accuracy of information, I highly recommend to use foreign sources for now. This doesn't necessary mean you can't contribute if you are not bilingual, you can rather help us to edit the existing pages and keep the consistency. --Uchocobo 13:33, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Skill Planner

There are several skill planners on the web including one on the Korean Nexon site. Aradsociety has just put up their translated skill planner as well. I believe that these are valuable resources that can be linked through this wiki. I haven't come up with a way to include a link that would be consistent and non-intrusive to the rest of the wiki.

Possibly underneath the "Skill Page Sample" link on the main page? Scope 21:16, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Monster Page Formatting

I think it is much needed that we need to format the monster pages into categories similar to that of the mabi wiki. I have started pages for some of the monsters, but they need to be grouped into one page. I would do this myself but I somewhat lack time and knowledge of wiki formatting, so anyone who could do this would have my thanks. Shadofrak 21:40, 11 October 2009

We need a template first. -Tea 22:34, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
...here's a question that should be answered first tho, what do people need to know about the monsters? Off the top of my head
  • Image
  • Name
  • Location
  • Drops
  • HP
  • Damage
  • Attack type (how many hits? long range or close range? Piercing? Blunt? Fire?)
  • Aggro? (is there even a measurable aggro rate in this game?)
  • Notes

And it's compounded by the issue of whether or not any of these stats change depending on the dungeon level. Ouch. Perhaps we shouldn't be thinking of these in Mabi wiki terms yet? Unless someone has access to the game's data files... -- Ladywinter 05:48, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Strategy Section

It would be nice to have a strategy or combo section of the wiki. Divide it similarly to that of the mabi wiki, but we need to include categorization for each class and subclass. Shadofrak

Someone already started it @ Strategies. He hasn't edited it for a while though. -Tea 22:35, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
I have looked at this page and it seems to be more of a basic combat page. I have made a different page on my user page as an example of what I plan to recreate it as. If there are too many objections, I will cease production of the page. Shadofrak Oct 13
Since there has been no objections for a 3-day period, I shall start implementing the new strategies page. I have a backup file of the old page for just-in-case. Shadofrak Oct 16

Hey can you put the strategy link in the front page under the game system? I noticed ppl don't know its there cause they only look at the front page and it'll make it easy for beginners to pick up techniques on the game.--Dungeoning 19:33, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

speaking of beginners, I think an perhaps an "game introduction" page might be useful 'cause I was greatly confused at first -- Ladywinter 05:45, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

We should have a quest section

I think we should have a quest section because I'm like level 21 and my friends are new to this game and they don't know where to get quest. If there is a quest section here, I think it will make it a lot easier for people to find quest and have more fun on DFO instead of being clueless about what to do and just leave the game. ---Regards, TechnicalDeath 02:58, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm working on a quest list pages. Only epic quest 1-7 is up at the moment and the template is not done, but I'll put links up in the side navbar. -Tea 03:11, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! I can help add episode like 8 because I'm somewhere there. Also, I can help add the launcher job change quest because I am a launcher myself.---Regards, TechnicalDeath 03:32, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
The job change quests are on the class pages. A separate page that goes in more detail is possible. -Tea 03:46, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
I know that, and I could send you some info. I was thinking the job change quest was somewhere else, not in the class description page. I can make a simple website, but I cannot use table or anything like that.---Regards, TechnicalDeath 03:54, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Edit : You could link the job change quest pages to another page that divides the classes. Have the classes link to blank pages, and I will ask my friends to add info. I got friends that all have at least 1 sub-class. Includes: Asura, Launcher, Battle Mage, Grappler, and I think there's more.---Regards, TechnicalDeath 04:02, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
More Edit: I put up a temporary quest section only containing 2 quests. I will add more quests all week. Could you make a template for that too and include the quest details that are there?---Regards, TechnicalDeath 22:35, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Most Visited Page

Is there a way to add a Popular Content page or Most Visited page like the WoW wiki has? It'd be interesting to see what people are coming here for and whatnot -- HellMuT

If you click on the number of pages on the frontpage, it displays the most ivisited page/popular pages. I'm not sure if WoW wiki has customized page for it, can you link it? --Uchocobo 03:12, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

NPC Map

Can someone make a map of the entire area with names/jobs of the npc's? I think it would be very useful for beginners being really really lost. -- Ladywinter 22:47, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

PvP Skill Table

Hey I noticed that most people only put a table of the PvE for any given skill. Can someone make another table for PvP? The damage, cooldown, etc are very different for PvP and it would clarify to most people that your skills do get changed. I notice that while I was PvPing someone thought people were hacking because all the numbers were not what he expected. If no one does then I'll try to do it later. I don't know how to make tables so it might take a while. --Dungeoning 13:32, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
