Question: is there a way to extract the images for items from the game data files?  And/or item info?  I'm curious if there is a formula that is followed to get the range in values for the item attributes (depends on level and quality?) or if they are stored as data for each separate item.--[[User:Sil|Sil]] 03:33, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Question: Do you think this is the best way to set up linking to set information? Why not have the set as a link with a table in it and just have the items in the set listed rather than having their own pages? That way you wouldn't need to have a bunch of unnecessary pages for each item but rather just have 1 page that lists the all the items in the set and what stats they have. Thoughts? Yeah pretty much exactly like that. In discussion with a friend, she recommended that we put the set items on the armor class pages themselves. So like how the purple items are on the [[Leather Armor]] page, we could have the sets on those pages. It would make it so you could go to one place for all the information on certain types of armor. We could just list all the sets in order by level requirement on the actual armor type page. Then we could have this page as a definition of the sets are. Something simple explaining that each item has its own special stats, but when worn together you get additional bonuses. It would prevent us from making extra unnecessary pages and make information about item types on their own pages. Any thoughts about moving the information around? Separate Pages

Perhaps create separate pages for Set Cloth, Light Armor, Leather, Heavy Armor, and Plate? --HellMuT

mmm, does it help that the table is sortable? I'll add in a note at the top -- Ladywinter 02:23, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, its great for now because the page isn't very big, but there are a lot of sets: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://dnf.wikiwiki.jp/%3F%25A5%25BB%25A5%25C3%25A5%25C8%25B8%25FA%25B2%25CC%252F%25C9%25DB%25C1%25F5%25C8%25F7&rurl=translate.google.com . It'll be overwhelming to have all the sets from every armor class on one page. --HellMuT
HOLY CRAP. IT'S THE MOTHERLOAD. *starts inputting data* -- Ladywinter 04:00, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
addendum, that is, I'll be adding info to the quests lists and stuff since people seem to be on top of weapons and armor. -- Ladywinter 04:16, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Separate pages for everything sounds good. Could you wait until I finish entering all the data so it's consistent in format, then we can copy and paste to other pages. Thanks for adding sorting tables ! :)--Sil 03:33, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm curious if there is a formula that is followed to get the range in values for the item attributes (depends on level and quality?) or if they are stored as data for each separate item.--Sil 03:33, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

I think you can use an unpacker to find image files, probably can find a bunch of other data using it also. Or you can also browse through the JP wiki and find general images and useful information. HellMuT 03:54, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Something like Heavy Armor also? Anyways, I don't think anyone was gonna go through with making individual pages for each armor piece. It's a lot of extra unnecessary work. - HellMuT 23:13, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Individual Pieces

It also would be a good idea to show individual set pieces, as they also give skill bonuses and other whatnot -- HellMuT

Classes

How do we exactly determine what armor goes to which job/classes? Scope 21:01, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Usually the set bonus or individual pieces they will have bonuses for skills that the class only has. It can also be determined by the armor type. Sets like Behemoth Dungeon Fighter and Slum Dungeon Fighter sets don't particularly pertain to a certain class, just a general armor category. Though they do have multiple sets for the armor class, such as a caster set and a melee set. HellMuT 03:54, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
