Default	Shannon Myre The guys here are fighting in a way I've never seen before, and it's a little disconcerting. Of course, I've already figured it all out. I'm sure there will be many more like them in the future. Ho ho. I'm so glad I came.
	Shannon Myre It feels good to be in such a scenic place after being in the bustle of Arad. Maybe this is the place for me, except for that debilitating mist.
	Shannon Myre How to overcome the mist? Well, I just do what I've always done, which is endless practice, perseverance, and the right mindset that never breaks.
	(Post-Dusky Island) Shannon Myre I can't shake this feeling of dread. Just thinking about that bastard Largo... Gah, I knew there was something wrong with him the first time I saw him. I bet he's up to his old tricks again, lurking around somewhere. Grr, I should've beaten him up when I had the chance. If I ever see him again, I'll make sure I do.
	(Post-Dusky Island) Shannon Myre What Largo said bothers me. I'll leave as soon as I'm ready and find out what's going on. Things have been hectic, but I'm still looking forward to fighting some new enemies. Adventurer, take a breather and let me know when you're ready.

Default	Shannon Myre There was a great deal of malefic energy inside the ruins. Going there will reveal the secrets of this village. Be careful: it may be more dangerous than we realize. Well, I wouldn't worry too much about you.
	Shannon Myre I've noticed one thing while exploring the village: the weaker the mind, the more quickly it's consumed by malefic energy. That's probably why most of the villagers became Malefic Humans. Am I okay? As you can see, I am. Whew, anyway, we're running out of time now. Let's go after [sic] Largo guy before it's too late.
	Shannon Myre I've been to a lot of places in my life, but I've never been to a place as quiet as this one. People seem to be mostly reticent and cautious. I suppose I would be, too, since it's not always easy to trust anyone, especially outsiders like us in a situation like this. Oh well, we'll just have to make sure we don't mislead them when they need to be understood.

The contestants there come to battle with great intentions. It's a strange feeling to watch one's will be crushed by another's. When I finally defeated everyone and was left alone on [sic] the ring, I realized that the weight of everyone else's heart [sic] made me more stubborn in my goals. I think it's a great way to set your mind right.
	Shannon Myre I'm pretty stiff... Huh? No big deal. I think I overdid it a bit fighting that Rugaloo. It's been a while since I've fought something that wasn't human. Huh? What else? Well, I fought a sasquatch on Mount Thunderime and nearly had my ribs crushed. I grappled with the Taus in Grand Flores and nearly had my arm ripped off... Well, but as you can see, me being in one piece means I won. Adventurer ...
	Shannon Myre I owe Skardi a debt of gratitude. It's because of her care that I'm free to live the life I do. ...Perhaps she carries too much of a burden. I haven't seen her smile once since she took the throne. The only time she smiled was when she talked about you, and that made me wonder what this adventurer was like. Now that I've seen you in person, I can tell you that you're definitely someone who can make her smile.

Slowly but surely, she perfected the knot. Shannon Myre Phew, it's done. Sorry, it's a habit. Oh, why do I always tie it this way? Well, I've been traveling for a long time, and the people I've been with, the enemies I've fought, they've all left me in the end, and the only thing I have left is my own body. So, this ritual is a reminder to treat it with more respect, and to be prepared in case I ever have to put my life on the line, which isn't always the case. ...Okay, enough of my ramblings. Now, I hope you haven't forgotten about our duel.
	Shannon Myre The scar on my eye? It's hard to explain, but it set me on a path of my own adventure. What do I mean? Well, you know the clichd [sic] story. "A man who was going through the motions was struck by sudden inspiration and set himself on the right path." That's what happened to me, and maybe it's happened to you, too. It's too soon to laugh about it, but maybe someday, when we reach the end of the road of our desired adventure, we'll laugh about it. Oh, and with a drink in our hands.
	Shannon Myre There was a time when I traveled the world, looking for fights. I visited the famous dojos of Suju to pick up fights, and I even joined the Imperial Arena in pursuit of the mighty of the Empire. Huh? Any memorable fights? Hmm... Let's see... Ah! I remember one. I once took on this very arrogant fighter in the Principality. He was so confident that no one could get past his guard. Who won? Well...
