This page describes maintenance events on the Wiki server. This covers issues such as its hardware, software, connectivity and its location.
Minor issues such as brief reachability drops will be removed after one month to aid in archiving.
NOTE: All times are expressed in 24-hour notation, colloquially known as "military time".

System information
The DFO World Wiki is hosted on two servers. One runs the MediaWiki wiki software along with the PHP interpreter, memory cache software memcached, and Apache HTTP Server, facing the Internet. The other runs MySQL but does not have direct Internet access. Both servers run Canonical Ltd's Ubuntu Linux Server.
The servers are colocated at a datacenter located in northern Fresno, California, a few miles south of the border between Fresno and Madera counties.
System status
There are known issues elsewhere on the site which can directly impinge on the usability and availability of this wiki. As this wiki grows, the same issues will eventually affect this wiki more directly.
The only way to remedy this situation is to upgrade the entire machine to something that's much faster and has and can handle more memory.

May 24, 2009
- Site created.
June 12, 2009
- While updating the Apache install with newer packages, a broken configuration on another website this server hosts kept Apache from starting. Once the configuration was fixed, Apache started normally. Downtime: Approximately ten minutes.
July 31, 2009
- The server went down for unknown reasons at about 23:30 PDT on July 30, 2009. The machine was rebooted at about 12:45 July 31, 2009. Downtime: Approximately 13 hours 15 minutes.
September 23, 2009
- Due to application of an incorrect patch, then not backing out said patch in order to apply the correct patch, the wiki was down for about three days. The software was reinstalled with a fresh copy.
