Description

Nightmarish Nerbe is a resurrected form of Annihilator Nerbe who is actually a being of Black Nightmare created by Luke. He was tasked to spy on Anton not only preventing the prophecy of his master's death, but collecting energy with something he wore called the Light Force Ring. After Anton's death, Luke would take Nerbe's body back to Castle of the Dead, revived him and unleashed the ring's seal.

Move List

"Darkness is with me!"

  • Space of Darkness: "You can't get away from me. "This... Is... my... realm..." Nerbe teleports in the center of the room emitting black smoke, casts a large purple Nen Guard.png Nen Guard bubble around himself and moves around after being activated. All party members must immediately run and stay in the bubble for at least 10 seconds while landing a number of hits on Nerbe to make him groggy. He instantly casts Bondage of Darkness if someone leaves the bubble or failed to attack him.
  • Absorption: "Darkness absorbs everything." Nerbe becomes invincible as he attempts to pull in players while a dark cloud emerges above his head and lightning bolts constantly strike down at a player's position dealing respectable damage while causing Blind (Status).png Blind (Status). After the pattern ends, he'll cast a dark explosion beneath him.
  • Dark Lightning: Lightning bolts will often strike down during Nerbe's patterns as getting struck by one flings players airborne.
  • Death Orb: "Try... to get out... if... you can..." Nerbe will cast a blue barrier around himself and summons a large purple sphere near a targeted player who's the furthest away. That sphere floats around can deal multi-hit damage and stun lock. Players must destroy it immediately before the casting gauge below fills or he instantly casts Bondage of Darkness.
  • Dark Laser: Nerbe gathers up energy to fire out a laser blast forward dealing low damage and knock back.
  • Rushing Dash: Nerbe will constantly dash at players and punch them for moderate damage while leaving a trail of lightning bolts that follow him.

  • Berserk
    • Dark Cores: Come out...Dark Core! If over Nerbe will push back players and summon four cores in each corner of the room protected by a shield which can produce small red orbs that float over to recover his HP. All party members must get in close range to destroy the cores in time before the casting gauge fills up, otherwise he'll use Bondage of Darkness.
    • Bondage of Darkness: "Confine them in Darkness!" If certain patterns fail to succeed during the fight, Nerbe will cast down with lightning bolts dropping throughout the room with the screen darkening as party members are held with a casting gauge above their heads getting hit by the bolts. When the gauge is full, players will lose 80% of their HP. If a player has less than 80% HP, they die instantly. The casting time is very long so use potions to restore HP after the move ends.

Strategy

  • Although Nerbe's attack patterns aren't nearly as fatal compared to his fight back from Source of the Black Smoke, some of them can be quite strict and requires teamwork to prevent casualties and frustration with Bondage of Darkness usage.
  • Although he's not very hold-friendly from before, it's advised not to use specific skills that have lingering effects.
  • If certain patterns succeed, he'll utter out "Ahh, the power of darkness is no more." which makes him groggy and opens up counter damage for a few seconds.
  • For Space of Darkness:
    • Try not to use aerial-specific skills that may exit out of it.
    • Keep moving as much as you can and attack while Nerbe still has the bubble activated.
  • He can be easily dispatched of by the strongest damage dealers in a party.
