Description

Altar of Infinity lore.jpg

The Altar of Infinity is a special gauntlet-type area, where you must attempt to clear 15 waves of enemies. In order to move on, you must defeat all enemies in a room before going to the next. There are 15 waves in total, spread across 3 rooms and the further you go, the harder the enemies get. At the 15th wave, the boss will appear and must be defeated in order to clear the dungeon. You have to pay gold in order to enter the Altar of Infinity. The amount of gold paid for each run increases depending your character level and number of runs.

Entrance

  • 3 times a day.
  • Entrance limit resets when you level up.

Rules

  • Character stats will adjust according to character level.
  • Defeating individual monsters will not grant EXP. EXP will be given at the end of clearing the Altar of Infinity.
  • In lieu of selecting the dungeon difficulty for the Altar of Infinity, difficulty is determined by the number of players in your party. If you enter alone, you will fight on Normal Road, a party of 2 increases the difficulty level to Expert’s, 3 is Master’s, and 4 is King’s Road.
  • Fighting in the Altar of Infinity will neither reduce the durability of your equipment items, nor consume Blitz Points.
  • 5 Life Tokens can be used per dungeon run.
  • EXP boosting items do not affect EXP outcome, only EXP events do.

Cost

To enter the Altar of Blood, you must pay some amount of gold. This cost rapidly increases depending on how many times you have run the dungeon in one day, and also varies slightly depending on your level. The cost for a level 65-70 character is:

  • 1st run: 16,000 gold
  • 2nd run: 17,800 gold
  • 3rd run: 22,000 gold
  • 4th run: 29,500 gold
  • 5th run: 40,000 gold
  • 6th run: 56,500 gold
  • 7th run: 78,500 gold
  • 8th run: 95,500 gold
  • 9th run: 121,000 gold
  • 10th run: 152,500 gold
  • 11th run: 191,500 gold

Rounds & Blood

  • The Altar of Infinity is composed of 3 maps. Each map is 1 "Blood", and each blood consists of 5 rounds.
  • In any normal dungeon, you progress to the next room after clearing the room you’re currently in. However, in the Altar of Infinity, you must clear 5 rounds of each map. Successfully clearing the 5th round signifies the end of the first Blood; the end of the 10th round signifies the end of the second Blood, and the end of the 15th round signifies the end of the third Blood.
  • At the end of the 5th and 10th round, a named monster will appear. The Boss, Chaos Agares will appear at the end of the 15th round.
  • Although the first and second Bloods are random (see "Monsters" below), the Undead will always appear in the third.

Monsters

The first ten waves are randomized. Blood 1 may be waves of Lugarus, Spiders, or Slimes. Blood 2 may be waves of Dragon Knights, Goblins, or Expellers. Blood 3 always has the Undead. Waves 5 and 10 will result in a miniboss fight, while 15th wave is the boss fight against Chaos Agares.

Blood 1 (Waves 1-5)

Blood 2 (Waves 6-10)

Blood 3 (Waves 11-15)

Deranged Monsters

  • Deranged Monsters are a special monster type that appear only in the Altar of Infinity.
  • There are three types of monsters in the Altar of Infinity: Normal, Boss, and Deranged. In each round, one normal monster will be chosen and become the Deranged Monster.
  • Deranged Monsters have abnormally high HP and powerful stats.
  • On the top-right corner of the screen, a pop-up window will appear that will display which monster has been chosen as the Deranged.
  • There are many types of Deranged Monsters: Enduring, Swaying, Roughneck, Agile, Poisonous, Fiery, Icy, Dark, Juggernaut, Persevering, Breakneck, Untouchable, Plagued, Frightening, Lightning, Blessed, Diabolical, Immortal and Invincible.

Growth System

  • Your character will grow as you battle through each round.
  • As you battle monsters, Blood Points will be earned, and as you progress through rounds a passive buff will be granted.
  • There are 5 types of passive buffs: 100% HP/MP Recovery, increased Strength, increased Intelligence, increased Attack/Movement/Casting Speed, and decreased Skill Cooldown.
  • Passive Buffs can be leveled up, but require Blood Points to do so.
  • Passive Buffs remain even after you die.
  • Character growth from the use of Blood Points resets after the dungeon is completed.
  • Due to the strength of the later enemies and the final boss, it is highly recommended to spend as many points on the Strength or Intelligence boost as possible, whichever one has the best effect on your damage output (for example, a Launcher should max Strength).

Death & Completion

Upon completion, You will gain Item Cards and extra experience based on how many waves you made it through (similar to the Tower of Illusion and Tower of the Dead). The more waves completed, the more Item Cards and EXP you'll get. You'll get one Item Card per wave completed.
