Description
On skill cast, Ascension activates and grants you divine power. Grants buffs to allies or accumulates divine power when you use crusader skills. As divine power is accumulated, Saint's strength, intelligence, vitality and spirit is increased. Cast Ascension again to rise up in the air and punish all enemies on the ground. Notes
- Upon activating the awakening, the Saint gains a Divine Power indicator in the lower left corner of the screen that increases when other Crusader abilities are used. The amount in which it increases are as follows:
- All buff / heal abilities give one Divine Power each while solo. In a party, buffs that apply to multiple targets grant extra Divine Power depending on the number of party members and eligible targets within range which gain the buff , including APCs, assist characters, and summoned clones by other players. Heals and single-target buffs (I.E. Revenge of Light) are unchanged.
- The following buffs are eligible for extra Divine Power if upgraded to apply to multiple targets:
- Despite Cure being an ability that applies to the entire party, it is counted as a single-target buff and only grants one Divine Power on use regardless of other party members being affected by it.
- Buffs that apply to multiple targets (except Cure) must successfully be applied to allied targets in order to count as an Ascension stack. If the buff is interrupted during the casting phase, it will not increase the stack count.
- Buffs that apply to a single target will count as an Ascension stack at the exact moment that it is casted, regardless of whether or not the buff is interrupted or applied to the target.
- All damage abilities give three Divine Power each, but must successfully hit a target at least once in order to stack. Multiple hits from one skill use do not grant additional Divine Power. If the damage ability misses or fails to hit any target, the Divine Power counter does not increase. Damage abilities can still increase Divine Power if the attack lands on a damageable object in the field, such as trash cans, rock piles, or other debris.
- Apocalypse, Holy Sanctuary and Divine Flash are not considered damage abilities, regardless of whether they hit a target, and are only counted as one Divine Power.
- Crashing Cross is considered as a damage ability and counts as three Divine Power regardless of how many party members gain the buff afterward.
- Thunder Hammer: Jupiter is counted as a damage ability while on the ground, but picking up the hammer and using basic attacks do not affect the Divine Power count.
- Basic Priest abilities such as Smasher do NOT increase Divine Power, with the exception of Slow Heal.
- The maximum amount of Divine Power is capped at 60 points.
- Ascension has roughly under one minute before the indicator time runs out, during which the icon will flash for approximately 10 seconds before disappearing.
- When the indicator is flashing after running out of time, the Crusader has one last action he can take before the Ascension ends. Any group buff will apply the increased stat boost and immediately finish the Ascension. It is also still possible to activate the punishment attack during this time.
- Switching any gear pieces, avatar pieces, or weapons while the indicator is flashing will immediately end the Ascension.
- The punishment attack strikes at entirely random spots within its area of effect and cannot be controlled. The Crusader is invincible during the entire duration of the attack, but can still be affected by special dungeon gimmicks.
- Pressing the jump key during the punishment will end the attack prematurely with the final explosion.
- The level of Ascension that applies to the Crusader remains constant throughout the entire duration. Swapping gear pieces, weapons, or avatars during the awakening does not change the amount of extra stats gained per Divine Power.
