You can create a party by speaking with the NPC Asha, or use “Look for Party UI” to set up a Combat Lobby for Forest of Awakening. Once everything is fully prepared, speak with Asha again on the left side to begin your mission.
Since Normal and Extreme Mode shares the same rewards, clearing one of those difficulties you've chosen for the week's run will lock you out from running the other difficulty until Tuesday.
Gameplay & Progression
Introduced in December 2024's Season 8 – Act 07's patch, Forest of Awakening is the fourth Legion Dungeon introduced within Dungeon Fighter Online as part of Seon content. Following Ispins, Hall of Dimensions, and Dusky Island, either you or a party of 2–4 players can select any of the three Operation Cards now called Asha's Special Song that's shown on your screen, which is divided into separate difficulties.
There is a fourth difficulty that's similar to Transcendence and Unshackled called Extreme Mode, which has its own separate mechanics outside Normal Mode. For this content, you'll be facing off against the Sacred Beast Guardians, including Hermit Ergon who are currently dealing with an ongoing crisis that involves an ominous energy that's not only poisoning the Forest's Guardians and inhabitants alike, but all of Seon. And it's up to the Adventurer to help cleanse this energy entirely.
Identical to Ispins, the four bosses introduced will be randomized once per week following the Tuesday reset, but you can only fight three of its lineup if playing on Normal Mode. When successfully clearing a Forest of Awakening dungeon, you can immediately go right to the next one with your buffs, abnormal status effects, and skill cooldowns reset after choosing a difficulty.
Asha's Special Song & Extreme Mode
During Normal Mode for Forest of Awakening, you'll have at least one minute to choose any of three Operation Cards that Asha offers in the form of a melody that either benefits or penalizes the party, depending on its corresponding difficulty. Optionally, you can use a Illuminated Note where Asha can grant a 50% Damage Buff throughout the entire dungeon run.
If your party decides on selecting the Extreme difficulty, and sharing a few similarities to Dusky's Unshackled Mode, there are no operation cards or damage buff bonuses, instead you'll battle against a superboss version of Hermit Ergon where he'll possess not only higher HP and attack thresholds, but also sports three different phases of himself. Successfully clearing Extreme all the way through will greatly reward players in return.
Magic Amplifier
Throughout each Boss fight in the Forest, there are Magic Amplifiers placed around the map that shares a similar function to the one seen in White Cloud Valley, except that instead of collecting Mist orbs, these will only correspond towards clearing specific patterns when pressing the TAB button on your keyboard where it can activate Overall Damage buffs or reducing their Neutralize Gauge.
Level 1 Melodies | Up to 2 Life Tokens usable. |
---|---|
Glorious Concerto | Damage +130% for attribute attacks. |
Level 2 Melodies | Life Token x0 |
