Backstory

Domina Hailey was originally known as Leiyha, Pipi's old friend. Leiyha grew up a poor young girl in Pandemonium, and with no magical abilities was considered "weak". She, like other children in Pandemonium, used to collect and sell Terranite to make a living. One night, Leiyha was carrying the heavy terranite bag to the market trying to sell it for a couple of coins, but a cruel magician ruined her plans. The magician cast a spell on the raw terranite she had collected earlier and the material exploded in a big contaminated blast.

A human being who is caught in a terranite explosion normally dies from the contaminated matter, but Leiyha miraculously survived. Leiyha woke up after, barely escaping death, and her blurry vision started to clear up. She looked at the sky, wondering what could have happened earlier, and felt different, like she had never felt before. Her body gradually started to change. Her eyes turned red, her teeth grew sharp with fangs, and she felt an insatiable hunger for human blood.

Leiyha had turned into a vampire, with no way to reverse the transformation. This set her up for a life full of despair she never could have dreamed of.

"I'm no longer me; I could never be human again. The Leiyha I knew is dead, and I am now 'Domina Hailey' the vampire."

Domina Hailey was deeply depressed, loathing her existence, and took refuge in an underground basement. She wondered: why did she have to hurt other people in order to survive? Hailey locked herself in the basement, so she could never kill another human ever again. Each night she didn't receive blood, she grew weaker and weaker.

As days and years went by, Hailey's mental state grew dire, and she could no longer remember herself or the reason for her existence. She turned to the great Apostle Luke for help, hoping he could cure her condition. Luke refused to assist her, saying he didn't want "contaminated and broken souls" like hers. He told Hailey to never return again.

In the years Domina Hailey spent in her prison, she was accompanied by her butler, Yazov. He couldn't bear seeing Hailey grow weak and lifeless, and committed himself to helping his mistress at all costs. Yazov offered his blood to Hailey, and Hailey turned him into a vampire acting as her thrall.

At some point, Hilder visited Hailey, giving her a medicine that could be a substitute for human blood. It did not work unfortunately.

• Pointed out by Pipi in the Scenarios, Hailey is simply a anagram of her real name Leiyha.
• She may likely be a precursor to the Blood Mage subclass that was added during the Level 90 cap.
